Why do so many people on here slag off the Brits?

I've looked at questions asking why British peoples teeth are rubbish, why we're not more disappointed about gustav and why we're such bad parents.

Can i stand up for us Brits here and say.............. Stop slagging us of before you've had a little look in your own back gardens!!!

Are there any Brits out there who find this offensive too?

I like the British just fine; I just don't get some of the lingo (like "snog").

As an American, I have no problem with brits... however, when the brits poke fun at the Americans in their own completely lame (in our eyes) way... then I'm going to point at the british...

Besides... politically speaking... you Brits are the TAIL that wags behind America's might... America says do this... and you say "yes master" and you know it...

yes! im half british, my mom use to live there but moved here when she met my dad. i think its so annoying how people always say they have bad teeth and all the other remarks that go along with it. i live in new york now, and that has this problem. new yorkers are labeled for our attitudes, but the truth is we only get attitudes when everyone else takes forever to talk or walk down the street or are just being plain stupid. so before you judge a person or where they're from, get to know them a little and you'll find that your original thinking was all off.

yeah i feel really annoyed by that, and asumo, we come on and america site, because they don't have any websites like this in the UK! and most Americans say we are posh, but have you actually been to a normal place in england that's not the Buckingham palace?

and p.s our language is completely fine, snog sounds way more better then "make out" cause make out sounds a bit gross. so shut up slagging us of, because we get royals when you get electives! >;[

p.p.s- what's up with "pants" instead of "trousers"? "pants" is anunderwearear garment!

There are a mirriad of smart alec ideas, its a part of rebellion, I did a lot of work as the guy in the red suit around december, I think it turned me of kids permanently, got bored?

So, what you have to focus on is the perceptual ideas on prioritising qualities values as to what they focus upon, its only by the prioritization of quality values you can get them to focus on what you want, but have to find what they want and trade them for it without compromise.

I once listened to kids at MacDonalds talking about how they forced their parent to do this or that and how they did it, cunning think they got that behaviour from watching smart alec parents on late night tv do it was it Oprah, couldnt be Gerry Springer?

I am not British and I find it offensive. My grandfather is British ~ I just called him today as a matter of fact and he is one of the kindest people I have ever met. I am sorry that there are so many hateful people out there. Please know that there are nice people out here too!

Theres nothing wrong with British people, its just stupid Americans who cant accept that there are other people out there who have a richer culture and a better accent than them.

In a macro psychological sense, it makes sense:

The colonies way back threw off their abusive father (England) and now are utterly abusive themselves. (Sins of the father...)

Having said that just to say it, it's individual people with too much time, some steam to burn, & an anon account.

Yes, kind of like Brits coming on Yahoo Answer USA to ask why Americans are so darn awful, obnoxious, selfish and ruining the world with its foreign policy. I think those stereo types just kind of even themselves out here.

I don't think people would slag off the british if they didn't always moan and nag about anything and everything. I think U are all just depressed because of all the bad weather over there, u never seem to be positive about anything, always look on the bad side of things. Cheer up British friends there are people out there that care and love you, just not too many on here....
