Why do so many people put questions in the horse racing section that have nothing to do with it? ?

Okay this week alone i've noticed at least 4 or 5 questions in this area that have nothing to do with horse racing. Why is this?

my guess is that they are horsin around and not paying attention to where they are posting - either that or they havnt looked around to see here they should actually post

I was wondering the same thing myself. I am a regular poster on the AOL horse racing board. These are people that are well versed in the sport and are serious about discussions. If some of these questions were put on that board, they would make a french fry out of them. They pretty much demand that you stay on topic.

I think they get mixed up with prompts when posting the question. If they went to pets it would eliminate this. I must admit I asked a question relating to Rugby League once and it got placed in Football-other which limited the amount of readers. There are a few gremlins in the system and the most annoying of all is the new spell checker. Oh well life goes on!

I think they're not aware that there's a section for just general horse questions.  A lot of the questions there (and many of the answers) are pretty lame.  No pun intended.

They are just horsing around, guess they like to trot over from the bits and pieces section.
