I think what they really mean is that they just don't want to live on earth or the universe as they know it forever.

  1. That could be but I look at it like this.

God has been in existence since forever and I don't see him ever getting bored.  We were given brains to learn with and we still haven't seen what we as man are capable of doing for good.  Me I want to see how it all works.  I've got too much curiosity about the how and why God did so much.  It's like Christmas every day trying to find the good in all there is and to see God's glory in all of this too.

The Bible predicts God will do away with the old universe we are living in now and HE will create a new one.

I get to have front row seats to see this.  When God was creating the universe and the world.  And then said "let us" HE was talking to the angels besides HIMSELF in heaven during the creation process.  Now when HE says "let us" we too will be part of that stupendous audience.

Think about it.  God has an amazing future for us.  In this universe we can only get from one galaxy to another in our imaginations.  This is true even with getting into parallel universes.  But God thinks beyond all of that and getting rid of the old and creating a new one.  Is that a boring God?  Nope

    Take care.

  2. Death could be the greatest adventure of all. The great unknown and all that rot!

  3. they fear old age and diseases.....this is the only reason they dont want to live forever.

  4. Do you really wish to see freind after friend die? That seems to be most depressing of an aspect for me

  5. living forever would be the worst kind of h**l.

You would have to watch as everything and everyone you ever loved grew old and weak and died.

You would have to watch your wife, and your children die, friends, family, everyone.

You would go crazy with grief.

If you remarried, you will still know that she will eventually die and theres nothing you can do about it.

If I lived forever I would HAVE to have a girl that I loved who lived forever as well.

Otherwise I would much rather die.

  6. Long life would be great if you had your health, your wits and the finances to cover it, but, if you didn't have health, wits or money then living to 150 + could be a curse.

  7. How do you know that  not living forever would be boring?

If we knew that we lived forever then no one would appreciate life and take it with both hands and make the most of it, what would be the point?

I believe in reincarnation personally, so for me, we live this life and then our next life is dependent on the life lessons we learnt in this life.  I am not suggesting we live forever, because once all the lessons have been learnt then I think we have left enough of an impact on the world that part of our soul is left behind.

As for living forever in this life as this person...I wouldn't want that.  There is something about knowing that one as a time they won't be here that makes you want to make the most of it.

  8. They are blind

  9. Not living would be so boring?  Who told you this?  Unless it came from beyond the grave, your source needs to be questioned more closely.

Life is an adventure.  We need to use it to add to our own experience and celebrate it.  However, death is also an adventure--a very mysterious one.   The physical body dies (we all know that), but the soul does not.  The big questions are where does it go, what does it do, and how long can it exist?

I won't bore you with my theories, but I think we need to look toward the magnetic field of this world.

  10. I believe that I will live forever. When My earthly body shall die, I will gain a new eternal body in heaven. Thumbs down me if you like, but that's what I believe.

  11. Maybe they are just realistic.

  12. I DO NOT WANT TO p**p

  13. How can you say not living would be boring? I mean honestly think about that sentence there...you're dead! It's not like you have experience with death that you know what it's like.

  14. I think not living wouldn't be boring, but I wouldn't really know about that. As you can see, the world we live in now is already h**l, therefore, when people gets bored on earth, eventually they'll resort to some kind of immoral action, causing them to drown in sin, and lots of it. On the other hand, not living wouldn't require much suffering, much questioning or much of anything, because they'll encounter peace and not have to think about anything else. In my view, if everyone lived forever they would eventually get bored of their surroundings and resort to pain. You can't question death, there's no answer for that subject. I don't think I can give enough details in my answer, nor can I explain it lucidly. O_o

  15. maybe cause they're sad because they broke up with their

boyfriend/girlfriend or some other reason i don't know >.< sorry

  16. i think that people who say that think that living forever would be boring.  i don't see how you could be bored if you were dead.  unless you believe there is a very boring heaven up there.

  17. I don't want to be a burden on society.  Honestly I get annoyed when old people have to be helped with EVERY little thing, and they aren't even able to do things on their own.  Honestly I would rather be dead than to need someone else to do everything for me.

  18. Why would not living be boring? That's like getting bored while sleeping.

  19. To other people not living isn't boring. Are you talking about the physical sense of living of the mental state of living. Its kind of like in the Titanic when Rose tells leo(cant remeber his name in the movie) My heart will go on. For me the physical living is not something I want to do forever. Some people have disabilites and life is not all peaches and cream for them. I want to live forever in my spiritual being. I think what some people mean by that statement is that they do not want to live on earth longer than nessesary. Now, if you do not believe in a spiritual after life than I could see your point. I guess you would be dead in the ground, but as for me, I see beyond my future on earth.
