Why do so many people state the obvious?

I'm not exaggerating here. I've seen many answers like this:

If you saw him steal it, then he stole it.

Unhealthy foods are not good for you health etc. etc.

I'm just curious why people give these obvious answers. It can't be stupidity, because there are SO MANY of them. I would like to hope that so many people are not stupid.

hahahaha funny. that is what they call super exaggeration which does make them stupid really. actually it's not bad to say the obvious but not the so obvious. saying the obvious makes things more logical and more obvious. people tend to read straight without thoroughly analyzing specifically. people more analyze things in general, just like analyzing the whole paragraph not analyzing every sentence. in this kind of analysis, they tend to miss the some of the idea. making things obvious is has a category, just like making hard words or statements more obvious although they logically tell the same. in the other hand, making the really obvious obvious is really not proper because this make them stupid. hehehe lol

they say things like that because they don't analyse what they wrote or they dont re-read it. doing it to create sarcasm is a rare reason because they know that they will end up being stupid. the last reason is that they are just really stupid (sorry for the term but, it exist).

As they are asking the questions ,the answers may come to them.It also depends whether they are speaking past ,present or future.

Two explanations (I'm assuming you mean people on yahoo answers):

1.  They want the 2 points for an answer, so don't really care how they answer.

2.  They say it for emphasis or sarcasm.
