Question:

Why do so many people think Christians "kill people"?

Where did this notion come from? The Crusades? The Crusades were led by pagans from the Catholic church, as payback to the Muslims who had attacked Europe. They always say, "payback is h**l". I don't know of any time where REAL Christians killed anybody. Those who have hurt anyone may have belonged to a church, but they weren't one of us.

  1. the conflict in North Ireland

  2. It's not up to you to decide who's a "real" Christian.  People from all religious beliefs and atheists have killed.

  3. I dare say that some of America's military personal are Christians and they kill people.  I know for a fact that some Christians have killed Native Americans back in the day.  Also anyone who went went against the church in the dark ages became vulture food in short order.

  4. "Real" christian is a false concept.

It seems "real" christians are any christian whose bad behavior has not yet been exposed.  Once exposed, you can always claim that the person isn't a "real" christian.

This is the true scotsman fallacy.  All people from scotland are "true" scotsmen.  All people who believe in Jesus Christ as their god are "real" christians.

  5. Catholics aren't Pagans, dearie.  No matter how much you guys try to deny the fact that they're Christians it doesn't work.  And besides the Crusades there was the Inquisition, countless wars, abortion clinic and g*y night club bombings and so on, and so on.  You guys have a lot of blood on your hands "in God's name".

  6. Dawn... Because they point to the inquisitions and crusades which happened so many many many yrs ago.. It's all they have to try and soften the fact atheistic communist regimes are responsible for the overwhelming majority of violence and blood shed during this century.

Hope this helped...God bless you !

  7. Perhaps you need to read a history book or two dear...

But beware ! Knowledge and education make religious delusions and superstitions quietly fade away.

  8. Because Christians (yes, REAL Christians) do kill people.

With the fall of the Roman Empire, the librarian of Alexandria was pulled off her carriage and skinned alive. In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children. Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft. There were the Salem witch trials (1692) in America. The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe. In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people. In the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered. Muslims and Christians in Bosnia reached a death toll of over 250,000.

    See what I mean?

  9. They are misinformed. The people forget, for instance, that the Inquisition, killed many "protestant", i.e., real Christians.

  10. Christians have always killed people. But they think it is OK because they do it in the name of god.

  11. well, both christians and atheists kill ppl these days

  12. all christians are an inch away from full blown mass murderers.

  13. HISTORY tells ALL.

  14. In the bible God killed over 2,000,000 men.. include women and children.. 30,000,000  Satan killed 10 total. If God killed so many why is it surprising that his followers would not follow suit?

  15. Look up the Dark Ages, the witch trials, Spanish Inquisition.

  16. Please don't call them Pagans just because they killed people. I find that offensive. Maybe you should read about what Pagans actually believe before you imply that they are murderers.

We believe that all our actions will be returned to us - therefore killing would bring great pain to our lives.

Just like you are saying you do not like people slandering your religion, you would do well not to slander others. Thanks.

  17. one person says it, and everybody else just jumps on the band waggon
