I've heard so many 10-6 records and them making the playoffs but i just don't think Brett Favre can do that by his self, Jerricho Cotchery is solid Lavernus Coles is Old the Defense is solid but the offensive line is young i see them going 8-8

  1. I don't know what they're talking about because 10-6 doesn't even guarantee a playoff spot in the AFC anyways, especially in that division, plus I think the Bills will do better.

  2. They will be competitive, but they will have trouble making the playoffs because the AFC has to many good teams.

  3. The Jets may not have the same O-Line as the say the Patriots but their line is still a pretty good one. You have perennial all pro at LG in Alan Faneca and his presence alone will make D'Brickashaw Ferguson a much better LT. Nick Mangold is the best young center in the league and only getting better, RG Brandon Moore is probably a little underated at his position and you have Damien Woody who is a former pro bowler as well, The Jets have two of the better blocking TE in the league in Chirs Baker and Bubba Franks. The Jets did the right thing this year in signing Faneca from the Steelers he'll bring their OL together into a much more effeciant unit. With an added legitamate passing attack you will definately see more running lanes open for Thomas Jones (unless he gets hurt)  And if you don't think Brett can do it by himself he played behind some real young line the last few years in Green Bay (2006 8-8, 13-3 2007) and got through those o.k. I agree with you to look for the Jets to finish somewhere at or above a .500 season but 10-6 insn't too much of strectch I mean 9 of their 12 losses last year were by 11 points or less and Brett definately makes them more competitive.

  4. I am surprised that you have a problem with it, considering you are giving them 8-8...not a big stretch from there to get to 10-6.

I think they will be lucky to get 5-6 wins.  In fact, I can actually see them starting out 0-4 and Favre quietly retiring again, after only four games.

Or maybe Favre gets them into the right mentality of playing loose and having fun and they come together and win 8-9 games.

Or they could all be great and go 13-3...h**l, we don't know.

I just know what I think and respect whatever anyone else thinks..

    Anything is possible.

  5. The offensive line is very good plus everyone of course went crazy when they got favre, i thought they would do good but would have problems at the qb position before they got favre, now i think they are solid. Remember they just signed Faneca this offseason which will make the left side great with him and D'Brickashaw and then at center with Mangold. They have 2 pretty good WR and a solid RB. and an ok defense so i doubt they will do much in the playoffs however i think they will get there.

  6. Cause they arent. I bet brett Favre doesnt even have a good year. I mean the last 2 years before last year he was horrible

  7. The O-line is going to be dominant. Nick Mangold was a Pro Bowl snub last year and Ferguson is also a rising star. Alan Faneca is obviously great and Damien Woody is also a Pro Bowlers. Plus, the defense now has a great pass rush thanks to Kris Jenkins, Vernon Gholston, and Calvin Pace, in addition to an already solid one led by Kerry Rhodes, David Harris, and Darelle Revis.

This team could possibly go 13-3 or even 14-2 depending on how Favre plays.

  8. There cant lay of the drugs. That's why.

Brett Favre can help you but when you have no one to work with then.....there's a problem.

Also two words "Madden Curse"!!!!! Its always happen and it will this year.

    They'll go 6-10

  9. keep the faith... you never know what is possible

  10. a lot of people think by adding brett favre a "living legend" he will make everyone else better but he won't even be good he is struggling to learn the playbook and offense he will not have a good year

  11. Jet (11-5) will be a plesant Suprise in AFC east, they can win that weak division even with the Patriots in it, whom flop 4-12.

  12. You seem way too upset giving them a whole 2 games less than the predicted 10-6 that you accuse the masses of giving them. It would have been worth answering if you gave them 3-13 or something. Either way you say a 4-12 team will double their wins. Think about it. Think about it... Now that it sinked it, don't you sound like an idiot?

  13. Well, I think the Jets will do OK, but I'm not sure they are going to do really good.

They did pick up a lot of free agents this year to bolster their rosters, but I think that may cost them.  I think Eric Mangini is a good coach, but the team may be sacrificing the future for winning right now.

The Jets do have a couple things going for them.  They are pretty much in one of, if not, the weakest division in the NFL.  The only tough team in their division is New England right now.  You play each team in your division twice.  So if the Jets play good that should be at least 4 wins.  And they are playing division in the NFC with the least amount of wins.  They are taking on teams like:

Arizona, San Francisco, Kansas City, St. Louis and Oakland

To me, that should be about an 8-8 or 9-7 record if they play descent.  If they play good, add about 1 or 2 more games to the win column.

I always had thought that if a team did well that they were supposed to get a tough schedule the next year.  But when the schedules were announced New England, who had the best record in the NFL somehow ended up with the easiest schedule in the NFL based on the win records last year of the teams.  I find that kind of funny.

To me, I just think the Jets had too many holes to fill last year to be really good this year unless they really step their game up.

  14. yeah i agree with you

farve does not have a large supporting cast and thomas jones is really no help in the back field

  15. You are too kind. I was thinking more like 6-10 at best. 8-8 would have been more likely without interception king Favre and an ungrateful snitch coach.
