Why do so many people use stupid politics?

Am I the only one who is sick and tired of people attacking candidates for things that aren't even politically relevant? All I hear is "Sarah Palin's daughter has a kid shame on her", "Obama is a racist and went to a Muslim school s***w him", and c**p like that. None of this stuff even matters in the election or in politics in general. And of course there is always some douche bag who says something like "well this kind of lets us know about them blah blah blah. Why can't people just focus on things that are relevant like what the candidates actually did for communities and where they stand on key issues like abortion, taxes, and the war in Iraq?

Uh, I think if a candidate is a racist that would have a bearing on whether or not he should be president.  Racism would matter a great deal and is very relevant.  



But otherwise I agree with the sentiment of your question.

Palin's choice's in life point out how she will make a good choice for my life and my family.

Obama's constant racist issue shows how he views his community.

So blah blah blah... there is a point to talking about it.
