Why do so many people want to adopt baby girls, but not boys?

I have two boys, and they are wonderful, loving and respectful. Sure they fight and wrestle, but they are boys. What do you expect! Girls do the same thing. When I was growing up, I loved to fight and wrestle. Thats what kids do. I love my boys with all my heart and soul. When I first got pregnant with my first son, people told me that boys fall in love with their mothers. (for the perves out there, no I'm not talking bout..s*x wise..geezz).This is true, boys do love their mothers. I have a wonderful relationship with my sons and would take another boy again. I want a girl, but only because my boys want a sister. If you think boys are mean, apparently they aren't in a loving home and taught how to manage their anger.Boys are wonderful additions to any family if you bring them up in a good home. I teach my boys to say yes ma'am and no ma'am, and no sir and yes sir to all adults. It's all in the way they are taught. Children act the way they are brought up. It isn't their fault!

I've heard it said that it is hard to adopt a boy from certain countries, such as China, because the birth families want to keep boys and not the girls so there are many more girls available to adopt from that country.

There is definitely a misconception that girls are easier than boys. I have 3 boys (14 year old twins and a 5 year old) they are wonderful, sensitive, compassionate, thoughtful kids. On the other hand my sister has 2 girls (14 and 5 also), I will take my kids any day over hers to avoid the constant screaming and major meltdowns over the smallest thing. The older one just refuses to complete any task given to her and has chosen "Whatever" as her favorite term to use when any discipline is mentioned. The younger one simply SCREAMS!!!!! until she finally gets her way because nobody in the house can take it anymore. She pulls this same behavior over brushing her hair, picking out an outfit or what she decides is the families food for the night.
I don't want to start over with a baby so I would like to adopt an older little girl that already needs a family to love her. Every child deserves a chance to be loved and cared for by someone they can truly trust.

i dont want boys but i will take 1000 girls if i had to ani want even take 1 boy because there so bad i have 3 brothers and they are so bad i have 1 sisster and we are not bad at all i dont get no even 1 pop a day and my brothers get 1000 pops a day i bet you and i hate boys exsept my boy freinds and i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE girls they are the best  kids ever i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE girls so there is my story ttyl bye ...........................................................................................................

Six years ago I adopted two brothers.  I wanted boys!  As a young girl I always loved sports and as a child was more into climbing trees and racing bikes than painting my nails.  I absolutely LOVE the connection between a boy and his mommy.  My sons are incredible and very loving and protective of me, even at their young ages.  I am now starting the homestudy procedure again and again want siblings but this time would like at least one girl.  I guess I want to experience it all.  But I also believe, and have been told by many, that raising boys is much easier on the stress levels than raising girls.  Boys are rough and tumble when they're little, and a lot of things will get broken, but they don't have the 'attitude' that girls naturally have.  It all depends on what you are more comfortable with.  But ALL children deserve a family!

Its because they think girls are more loyal than boys.. and boys would leave them when they grow up and find out tht they are adopted and not real kids.... on the other hand.. girls will live with it cuz they wont leave them !
