Why do so many posters use fake photos of models for avatars?

My theory is that they are lacking in some way......Otherwise they'd put up a real photo instead of something that belongs in a model magazine. Yes?

Really though, most of us  pick avatars that represent us, or  represents  how we perceive ourselves...whether it be humorous or serious or s**y.

Well. the guys may be g*y and trying to get attention.  They may also post int the g*y and L*****n section.  A beefcake male model avatar is far more interesting to g*y men than to women.

The women are also men posing as women.  You can tell by how angry they got at your question that you have hit near the point.

Well, the men who post model avatars are very insecure and feel a need to impress strangers. That's obvious.

The ones who have "beefcake photos" like showing bare chests and muscles are doing it to send a homo-erotic signal to attract other men. That's common in LBGT.

because they dont have a life and they want to represent the picture or kiss the @ss of a model or wore they'll never meet in the picture. i mean if they worship a girl in a picture, why not go up to some girl in real life and talk to her?

Because they're trolls, and trolls like to make themselves stand out.  They're attention whores.  And probably whores in general.
