Why do so many professors want to reduce the drinking age? Do they want a bunch of drunk co-eds on campus?

Yes.  It's part of the liberal agenda these days.  The more immoral you can get the better.  It was stated in the 1963 45 Goals of Communism.

Maybe they see the hypocrisy of having drinking being the one and only thing that is not legal for 18 year olds to do. And 18 to 21 year old people drink if they want to anyway. Campuses are full of drunk kids like it or not.

They don't necessarily want to reduce the drinking age - they feel that the current drinking laws aren't working, and they want to re-visit the wisdom of what has been established as law.  They are more concerned about binge drinking than just drinking in general.  Some of them feel that binge drinking is more common when one cannot legally buy alcoholic beverages.  There is some merit to this - during Prohibition, binge drinking rose dramatically among adults and declined when Prohibition was repealed.

However, there may be a small minority that do indeed want drunk co-eds on campus.

They tried this once before with horrible results. Anyway, it's state's rights whether they lower the drinking age or not...BUT the Federal Government said it will withhold 10% of highway funds if they do.

cuz they're stupid.  the idea of the first time one has freedom mixed with the first time one can legally drink is a recipe for disaster.

They already have a bunch of drunk co-eds. If people want to drink, teens or not, they will drink.

Plus, if you can fight and die for your country at 18, then you should be able to have a beer.

Because they find it hard to be Liberal and enforce no underage drinking.

Kids are dieing on Campus from alcohol poisoning in larger and larger numbers and Universities are being sued by Parents. The Administrations are to weak to try to stop alcohol consumption by underage drinkers on campus so they want the law changed so they have no responsibility.
