Question:

Why do so many young girls post nudies of themselves on Myspace and such?

This is something I would have never imagined doing as a teenager. What happened in the last few years that unleashed a virtual epidemic of cam whores? Is it an unquenchable lust for fame or something else?

  1. I have no idea why but most will regret it as they mature.    I'm glad I no longer am in the 'raising children' business.    Look at the number of people who have had the utter humiliation of old nudies surfacing.

  2. They are obviously little s***s.

  3. Sounds like another form of rebellion against parents.

the young girls are thinking they are "free" and this is cool..."oh and wont daddy be mad! giggle"

  4. They lack aesthetic judgment.  If they were simply more objective, they'd be less exhibitionist--realizing that they look like rag dolls in comparison to the superb models at met-art, hegre, etc.

  5. They are naive, and for some strange reason which is beyond me, want to grow up faster than ever.  If anything, it's a thirst for attention.  I never would have done that at that age either.

  6. its cause they think its "cool" and they are s***s.

  7. I couldn't have imagined anything like that happening when I was a teenager, either. Some hippy chick flipped out on shrooms, flashing her b***s at a Dead show was about as wild as it got. But I also could not have imagined the inane phenomena of reality television, which I think has a lot to do with what you are talking about. If you look at those Myspace/Facebook pages, it is clear that most of the kids think they are creating their own little reality show.

  8. They're looking for attention. They don't get enough of it at home so they're seeking it somewhere else.

  9. I did not know that this was going on! Thank you women's lib! Over-emphasis on personal pride has borne this fruit. We need to teach our kids to respect themselves (and others) and this would not be an issue. Not just to love ourselves unconditionally. We can all change for the better.

Edit: I think rasta is calling you and Ryde hippy chicks messed up on shrooms!! lmao

  10. Its about popularity. They're young and they'd do anything to get it.

  11. They like being told they're attractive. It's that simple.

  12. They're just trying to one-up their friends in the race for Biggest Junior Sl_t. One of my friends has a sister who was caught posting questionable photos of herself on her MySpace. She was forced to take them down, but she did it again soon after.

  13. omg I know! I would NEVER do that, and I'm still a teen....

My friend actraully took a nude pic of her on her cell, and sent it to her boyfriend at the time, but then they broke up and now that picture's around the WHOLE MIDDLE SCHOOL [started in high school] and the whole middle school. and some people even got it in other school districts!

I guess it because some girls have self confidence about thier body [that most girls don't] and they think it "s**y" which it just make them look really bad.

Some girls do it for fame. Other weren't raised right. Some people just do it because other girls do it and don't realize the after affect. The kids these days are just following trends.

P.S Myspace doesn't actraully allow nude photos to be uploaded, but they don't know if any are, unless its reported.

  14. They need validation from men, they are in desperate need of attention, there are many reasons.  You almost have to feel sorry for most of these girls.  Somewhere along the lines they've been terribly misguided.

  15. attention seekers. lots of young girls show of their bodies so that guys will like them. some do it to get noticed and achieve fame. some do it to help boost esteem.

personally, i dont care. whatever the reason behind it, its none of my business. if i ever have a daughter i would never allow her to have a half naked pic of herself up. i dont want her getting the wrong type of attention. but, as long these girls are careful and accept that they are at risk of guys only seeing them as s*x objects, i've got no problem.

  16. Please....we as a society basically teach them that they should ALL the time.  Can we really ask ourselves why they do it then?

(example: can you even buy shorts for teen girls that do not ride all the way up their wahoos? Can you turn on MTV and not see something totally not meant for teen eyes ((or anyones?))

Add in the fact that girls need self esteem and validation and WALLA!  All they need to do is take it all off, and lots of boys are saying things like "U R HOT".

  17. They are being kind to men like me.  That is why.  I enjoy nudity.

I dont take a part of those whose nudity I enjoy.  They have nothing to lose.  The pleasure is all theirs and mine too.  Why does it bother others?

Look at a tree, it gives away its fruits to everybody and everything who wants it, never discriminating or thinking whether the other party deserve it.  Look at mister God.  He does never discriminate whether it is a rapist or a criminal or a meek guy or a man or a woman when He give stuff to people in this world.

  18. A lack of healthy self-esteem and self-respect, and a complete lack of understanding the consequences.

  19. Because I send out lots and lots of e-mails asking them to.

  20. I don't think they grasp the fact that these pictures can be seen WORLDWIDE, and even by their parents. I feel it's a desperate need to feel attractive and rebellious, when they don't understand that doing this can really come back to haunt them.

  21. Lack of good parenting and no Godly guidance may have something to do with it. Low self esteem.

Guidance!!!  Very important. Open communication with kids. Some parents have no clue.

  22. They think this behavior will get boys to like them and they are too naive to realize that something like this could come back to haunt them because they think the relative anonymity of the Internet acts as some sort of shield from the real world.

  23. They are insecure, and are desperately seeking validation. In their mind, this is the only way to get it. I think our media's portrayal of women as s*x objects contributes to this.

  24. It's all in the power of remaining anonymous; the fact that they're not known; never once thinking some one some where will come along who recognizes who they are.

  25. I think it was around the same time parents allowed their twelve year old daughters to wear tshirts saying "p**n Star" and shorts that had messages on the behind.

Really.  What does THAT purchase say, except "please look at my p*****n daughter's butt"?
