Why do so many young girls today dress very s**y?

Even young women and some middle aged women too. It seems like "most" not all of them are wearing more and more revealing clothes each and every year. It's even more shocking when churches allow women to wear such revealing clothes to their Sunday services. If women want to be treated equally to men and always complain about all guys are jerks, then it is probably the way they dress and attract the wrong types of people. Are women comfortable showing so much skin out like that in public? Mind as well just not wear any clothes at all and save your money.

its the media. it pressures young girls to be like all the models and actresses they see. they should be dressing their age rather than dressing older than their age.

I have always wondered about that too. There seems to be a paradox between what women have struggled for in the past 40 years, and what their behavior seems to indicate. Their way of dressing, the way in which many carry themselves, and the women other women idolize (i.e. Britney Spears) all seem to undermine the case that feminists have made for 40 plus years that women want to be valued for their minds and not their bodies.

I am no sociologist, but if I were to speculate, I think in an ironic way the feminist movement is directly responsible for this. Most of the feminist movement’s objectives were noble. Who could argue with a woman’s right to vote, and the right to equal pay for equal work? Unfortunately, many within the feminist movement thought that the best way to achieve their objectives was by making women not only equal to men, but also to adopt a philosophy that made them the same as men in terms of mannerism and speech. The behavior of women started to change, and become male like.

After a few decades of this pattern of emulating male behavior, men have reacted by disrespecting women, and no longer treating them with the chivalry that used to be their birthright. After all, if you are going to behave like a man, in almost every respect, why shouldn’t you expect to get treated like one?

Women, I think over the past decade, are longing to be treated with the same respect, attention, affection, and love that their mothers and grandmothers used to get from men. I think this expectation is hardwired into them, whether they want to admit it or not. Unfortunately, most of them have forgotten how to behave ladylike, and most men have become so hardened to what real femininity is that they couldn’t recognize it if it slapped them in the face. As a result, in order for women to reassert their uniqueness in the world, and to receive the attention and “respect” from men, they have resorted to using the one asset that has not been stripped from them, their physical beauty.

It’s really sad that the very feminist movement that was supposed to elevate women to the equal status of men has actually done more to debase women.

and sometimes its the media

and sometimes she just wants to feel good about herself?

see i have this 5 year old niece who cries if you even attempt to put a pair of pants on her!she loves her long blond hair,wearing s**y tops,high heels,skirts,makeup,etc.

i am just saying sometimes they're born like that.
