Why do sociologists do not use the concept of race to explain differences in human values and behaviour?

  1. Because race doesn't determine values or behavior.  The construct of race is solely determined by skin color. Two people of equal color can have very different cultures, backgrounds, morals, values, and behaviors.

    An example is African Americans do not share the same ethics, religion, or cultural behaviors as black Africans. In fact they are more culturally similar to white Americans than black Africans.


  2. Because academia is filled with liberals and they are afraid of the troof.

What are you talking about?  Sociologists DO look at race to explain differences in human values and behavior.  The thing is that race is not typically shown to have a statistically significant affect on much of anything (typically socio-economic status or other factors better explain any differences among the races).
