A large portion of Canada disagrees with right-wing politics in America, true. A majority of Canadians think the US (and the world) would be better off if G. W. Bush was not leading the "most influential country on earth". Many Canadians believe the tragedy of 9/11 was exponentially increased by the tragedy in Iraq that Bush calls a "victory". I'm sure that's what the terrorists called 9/11. Many Canadians also believe that 9/11 was motivated by hate, and that the Afghanistan response was motivated by a desire to do good, and not out of retribution. In fact, Canada is one of the most pro-American countries according to numerous surveys (which I admit, aren't always reliable.) The majority of Americans are great people, and the majority of Canadians know that. But some people just thrive on making conflict. Those are the people that argue against American policies out of hate/jealousy, and make the real debaters look less genuine. Those are the people that view Canada as anti-American. I live in Canada. We are not anti-American.
