Think that atheists do not have morals? I don't understand this kind of thinking. Do you think we are incapable of love? Really, why do you think this?

  1. Its pretty simple,really...Morality is based on Convictions, which by necessity MUST come from belief in a higher power in order to determine the difference between good and evil.

Besides which, unbelief is the ONLY sin which has no forgiveness, therefore you have already admitted to the worst sin there is....Pretty immoral eh ?

  2. Atheists are human beings. All human beings are capable of love

Further more look at the species of animals and life. They love. Dogs. cats save lives. That is love.

Look at all the atheists have done in medicine , arts, sciences, music humanities to benefit our lives. That is love of humanity

Alfred Nobel gave us the gift that keeps on giving in the Nobel Prize

for excellence in learning and achievement. He was an atheist

Atheists show love for all humanity. That is Love

I think that Christians who  believe atheists can't  love  just hate all atheists and don't even understand that all can love and they themselves can't love

Jesus said . Love all as I have Loved You. The Greatest of these is Love

AND ATHEISTS DO LOVE .. AND LOVE ME.. HERE IS MY PROOF ( IM A CANADIAN LOL) PROOF RIGHT FROM THE

    ATHEISTS MOUTHS  ( LOL) ( IM  A CANADIAN )

  3. I do not feel this way at all.  We are all capable of loving and wanting to do good.

  4. I am one who argues that people (all people) have morals because God created all people in His image. Whether they believe in God or not has no bearing on it.

  5. i personally do not think like that. i have many atheist friends and my parents are atheist and i grew up around atheist people and they have been nice to me.

  6. We all know that Atheists clearly understand the codes and laws of morality. The main question we have for you is where did it come from?

If you believe in evolution then you MUST acknowledge humans simply as animals. You cannot acknowledge a spirit realm like they say, Mind-Body-Soul. You cannot evolve a soul. A soul comes from a creator God. Also if evolution exists where are the split breeds? There would be an infinite transition fossil records. You would be finding inter-speci hybrids which do not exist.

Simply put, I do not have enough Faith to be an Athiest. If I talked about a similar sounding subject matter with so many holes as Swiss Chees you would clearly make fun of me and scold me.

    Jesus loves you.

Does God Exist – A Scientific Examination of the Evidence

God may not be provable through mathematical formulae or properties of physics, but we live in an era where the evidence of an Intelligent Designer is all around us. Just look through the Hubble Telescope and peer to the edge of the massive cosmos. View the monitor of an electron-scanning microscope and delve into the intricate world of a microscopic cell. Try to comprehend the massive library of complex information inherent in the digital code that turns a fertilized egg into a human being. Study principles of quantum mechanics and investigate the world of extra-dimensionality. Review the nature of your conscience, subconscious, standards of morality, and thoughts of religion. Then, try to reconcile all of these realities with a basic theory of randomness and chaos.

Based on what we know today, I truly believe that atheism (not believing in any kind of god) is a much bigger "leap of faith" than theism (believing that some kind of god exists).

I asked my friend, “Have you really thought about some of the evidences for God? Or, are you presupposing a purely naturalistic world, and closing your eyes to some of the possible evidence? If I propose some observational evidence, are you even open to examining it?”

My friend asked me to go on. So, here’s my attempt at some basic scientific observations that point to God:

Causation. God provides the best explanation for the existence of the universe and all that's in it. (The alternative theory is that "nothing" exploded and resulted in everything that we see.)

Order. God provides the best explanation for abstract notions such as numbers, mathematical formulae, chemical-based processes, and natural laws. (The alternative theory is that the chaotic first elements ordered themselves into complex information systems.)

Design. God provides the best explanation for the absolute complexity inherent in cosmological, stellar, planetary, chemical and biological systems. (The alternative theory is that random chance engineered apparent design.)

Encoded Instructions. God provides the best explanation for the digital DNA code contained in and controlling the functions of all life on earth. (The alternative theory is that complex code, such as binary code running computers, can pop into existence without any kind of programming, testing and debugging process.)

Irreducible Complexity. God provides the best explanation for fully functioning biological organisms, systems, and subsystems that couldn’t come about through gradual evolutionary process without totally ceasing to exist at lower, evolutionary levels. (The alternative theory is that biological systems took huge, unseen leaps from simple to complex without any guided process or forward-looking instructions.)

Duality. God provides the best explanation for the separate human functions of brain and conscience (matter and mind). (The alternative theory is monism -- only matter exists and the human brain only appears to have a separate subconscious ability.)

Morality. God provides the best explanation for the existence of love, emotion, altruism, and inherent moral/ethical values throughout the world. (The alternative theory is that unguided materialistic processes evolve higher human consciousness.)

Does God Exist – A Scientific Conclusion

When it comes to the question of “Does God Exist,” there are only two scientific worldviews -- Someone/Something did it, or it did itself. Whether it’s the beginning of the cosmos or the beginning of life, the beginning of mankind or the beginning of mind, either Someone/Something is responsible for everything we see or it’s responsible for itself.

“Does God Exist?” Is this really a question for science at all? Actually, it seems this is a matter of forensic science, since we can’t re-create the birth of the universe or the formation of first life in a laboratory. Therefore, we collect the observable evidence in our world and apply our forensic investigation skills to analyze its collective meaning. In the end, we all need to collect and examine the evidence for ourselves. Ultimately, whether couched as scientific inquiry or purely religious/moral/philosophical faith, it’s not a

  7. I've never thought this, but what is my opinion against that of millions upon millions of other people?

  8. I'm incapable to love because of Chris .

  9. I personally do not believe this. I have known many with morals much loftier than my own, and had a much greater capacity for love than I. The issue I have with atheism is that the credit goes to the wrong party. In as much as I can see, atheists take the credit for these qualities for themselves, believing that they are ultimately in control, and the responsibility for these standards come from themselves. My belief is that they come from a Creator, and that these qualities are present in us all, and develop as we allow them, when we recognise their presence. I am aware that these responses are tempered by own own unique life experiences, but that seed is present in us all. It is also my belief that if we were to all just let go of the prideful notion that we are in control, this would be a much better place to be, and we could put aside this constant bickering about who is correct, which is such a waste of time. Be well.

  10. Every person loves. <3

I don't see why some take it out on your guys.

  11. i don't think atheists don't have morals...i just think they have no center point for morals...murder might be morally wrong for you now...but in 100 years what says that moral code won't be wrong...

  12. Because for some Christians, they would drop all morals if they were not afraid of afterlife repercussions...and those same ones simply find it strange and hard to believe that someone would want to live with morals when there is no fear attached.

  13. Oh, I would not say they have no morals.  God has pressed on all of our hearts right and wrong.  I fault them for not seeing the forest for all the trees.

  14. Not all atheists are immoral, but morality as goodness cannot be justified with atheistic presuppositions.

  15. You should have morals, and I don't doubt you do, simply because you just mention it, although as you said (not all), I have to say the same thing, you say because you don't which to offend none, nor will you attack any one. But, my experience whit atheist is that they are deceiving, and hey have try to deceive me, personally, Not to say that I wasn't maybe willing to be deceived but when I try to tell that person that he was wrong because i will ot be deceived nor will I ever do, or eat of the hypothetical apple he was giving me?, (do I get my point across)?, he fill betray, by whom? God or his own God? and then he turn on me and since then we have cross a word again, in fact if i where to get close to his house since then he will made me fill guilt, simply because he could not impose on my, his belief's that God was just a tool, we can all use for profit any kind, more or less.

where ,where his Morals in this, because when they attack, or try to attack some one, whit out been provoke, Morals are the least thing they have????.  what do you think???? as an atheist, for some of then?

  16. Probably because of Punky.

I think that's the first time I've ever agreed with him :P

<edit> Why did ♥allecat♥ †EWTN† get three thumbs down? She gave a good answer . . . for a change. Wow. I just gave props to an atheist and a Christian that I usually can't stand. Is it The End Times™?

  17. basicly because most xtians are not capable of understanding that morals are simply rules without which we could not live in one anothers company, as for love why would I love a being that thinks mass genocide is acceptable , simply I dont happen to like gods of any description

  18. Because they can not comprehend anything that is outside of their own realm of experience.  So since they don't know any Atheists (because they won't associate with any) they do not think that they are the same as they are minus the religion.

  19. I don't think that,

I just think you are missing out on a lot more love.

the love of Christ who died for you.

  20. Of course you have morals. God gave them to you. The problem comes with the free will and not accepting the standard of God what comes to morals

  21. It's not that we think you don't have morals, but by atheist/evolutionist ideas, there is no such thing as love, morals, or even free will.  You just do thing by the electric impulses going on in your brain.

In purely evolutionary standards, there is no "love", there is only finding  a proper mate in order to reproduce and pass down your genetic information to a new generation.

  22. I don't know about everyone else but I do not think that atheist's do not have morals. I support their decision to be beliefless. I do however think that they aren't worried about the consequences of their actions because there is no belief guiding their lives besides natural instinct and reason. I must also add, there are exception to my above statement just like those with a belief system still don't worry about the consequences of their actions i'm sure there are some atheists that do care. I personlly just don't understand the choice because someone who was atheist never gave me a viable reason other than 'i just don't believe in god'. I'm still looking for an explanation because religion fascinates me and i want to explore all aspects of it.

  23. well when you support abortion it really doesnt give them reason to see you have morals

thats not my thought..thats just my obvsevations

im not even christian or anything

  24. Probably because of me.

  25. probably because they think morals come from God, which is stupid because everyone has a conscience and knows the difference between right and wrong no matter what you believe in

  26. "Do you think we are incapable of love?"

    Jesus is love.

If you reject Jesus, then you don't know what love is.  All you have is a fleshy, sinful counterfeit.

All people are sinners.  None do good, no, not one, per Romans 3:10-18

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one.

13 Their throat is an open sepulcher; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:

16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:

17 And the way of peace have they not known:

18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

  27. Wow, you're a regular R&S, you should know. This issue has been debated on here extensively.

The reason why they think so is that they believe only God can set morals, and rewards for good deeds and punishment for bad deeds is why one must be moralistic. Does this mean if it wasn't for their religion they'd feel it is OK to rape and kill children? Hmm?
