Question:

Why do some Internet Cookies last so long?

I have one cookie on my computer that lasts until January 2038. Isn't that way too long because it would be impossible for me to keep my current computer until 2038.

I was just curios.

  1. The person writing the site decides how long he wants the cookie to last.  I agree that 30 years is a bit loing, but that's effectively a "do not expire" cookie.  Some last for 20 minutes, some last for decades.  Why do some people wear plaid?  Personal choice, I guess.

  2. it seems your computer got a virus!!
