Actually that's true, "zeenah" is a wide term...I mean I used to think that zeenah was only a sexual act, flirting, etc...something that will "turn on" someone...like committing Zeenah with ur eyes...for example if a guy looks at a girls body up and down and starts getting turned on, its a form of zeenah...but that still relates to the way "zeenah" is used is that ayah

  1. well, people who say that r Ossat

  2. Why would a daughter show her "zeenah" to her father??

  3. you have to realize that people want to do whatever they want and think they can just make taubah for being disobedient, not knowing when and Allah will send the angel of death. they take life for granted as if it's a guarantee of another day and say i'll do it when i grow older or i'll do it when i get married and so forth not realizing today could be your last day. but we cannot judge them, but just make dua for them and hope someday she will be wise enough to know the true meaning and worth of wearing hijab. most muslim born muslims practice culture and tribal traditions more so than islaam,b/c they are misguided so again dua is the best thing you and i can do for them.

  4. it is not from the quran  all it says there is cover your modesty ( b*****s ) with a vail.

  5. First of All Head cover is NOT hijab ,,Hijab is a complete dress code, and not just head cover

the difficulty in understanding Glorious Quran arises when we DO NOT BELIEVE,that our practices could be wrong!!

we "believe" that our practices are perfect, and Glorious Quran doesnt speak of what we practice..this is THE BIGGEST ERROR,we face when reading Glorious Quran.and we slowly build our practices not on the bases of Glorious Quran but on the practices, which our parents tought us.

If Glorious Quran is NOT in agreement with our practices then the Practice is Wrong and NOT Infallibe Glorious Honorable Quran.

people have twisted the meaning of certain words in glorious Quran to accomodate these practices tought by hadith books.

this is NOT the way Glorious Quran should be Read...Read Glorious Quran carefuly and without the crutches of hadith books,be neutral do not associate yourself with any sect,be sincere with Glorious Quran, and Trust Allah Allmighty to teach you Glorious Quran.

then Insha Allah ,Allah Willing you will understand The Quran.

its not an ordinary book and dont treat it that way,

"And tell the believing women to subdue their eyes, and maintain their chastity. They shall not reveal any parts of their bodies, except that which is necessary. They shall cover their chests, (with their Khimar) and shall not relax this code in the presence of other than their husbands, their fathers, the fathers of their husbands, their sons, the sons of their husbands, their brothers, the sons of their brothers, the sons of their sisters, other women, the male servants or employees whose sexual drive has been nullified, or the children who have not reached puberty. They shall not strike their feet when they walk in order to shake and reveal certain details of their bodies. All of you shall repent to GOD, O you believers, that you may succeed." 24:31

The last part of the verse (24:31) translates as, "They shall not strike their feet when they walk in order to shake and reveal certain details of their bodies." The details of the body can be revealed or not revealed by the dress you wear, not by your head cover.

Notice also the expression in 24:31,

"They shall not reveal any parts of their bodies, except that which is necessary."

This expression may sound vague to many because they have not understood the mercy of God.  Again God here used this very general term to give us the freedom to decide according to our own circumstances the definition of  "What is necessary".

It is not up to a scholar or to any particular person to define this term. God wants to leave it personal for every woman and no one can take it away from her. Women who follow the basic rule number one i.e. righteousness, will have no problem making the right decision to reveal only which is necessary.

The word "zeenatahunna" in this verse refers to the woman's body parts (beauty) that can be exaggerated by the movement of the body while walking and not to the artificial ornaments and decorations as some people interpret it or translate it. At the end of the verse, God told the women not to strike with their feet to show their "zeenatahunna."  Striking the feet while walking can emphasize ,  exaggerate or shake certain parts of the body that do not need to be emphasized. It is important to remember that striking the feet while walking does not have this effect on the head, hair or face, they are not part of what God calls in this verse the hidden zeena.

Accepting orders from anybody but God, means idol-worship. That is how serious the matter of Hijab/khimar is. Women who wear Hijab because of tradition or because they like it for personal reasons commit no sin, as long as they know that it is not part of this perfect religion. Those who are wearing it because they think God ordered it are committing Idol-worship, as God did not order it, the scholars did. These women have found for themselves another god than the One who revealed the Quran, complete, perfect and FULLY detailed to tell them they have to cover their heads to be Muslims.

Idol-worship is the only unforgivable sin, if maintained till death, 4:48.

@ Amber k..  (39:23)"God has revealed the best 'Hadith'"

is 39:23 true or false ?

"There are those who advocate vain 'Hadith' causing diversion from the path of God, without knowledge, and fail to take such actions seriously; these have deserved humiliating retribution. And when our verses are recited to him, he turns away arrogantly, as if he never heard them; as if his ears are deaf; promise him painful retribution." (31:67)

    31:67 True or False ?

how do you know if hadith is authentic or not, even if hadith is authentic, what reason do you have to follow hadith instead of Glorious Quran,,whatever you may think ,,no matter what you do, Glorious Quran comes FIRST..!!

you may cover your head or you may not,its your own choice,,but my contention is ,,dont say head cover is hijab ,

hijab is a complete dress code a complete life style of a Muslim woman, just covering head doesnt mean you have met that obligation..

when a woman strikes her feet on ground, there are 2 things which happens,it moves her bosoms and moves her butts,un necassarily and provocatively.this is not a good deed of a Muslim woman, because she becomes a sexual object, and gains unnecassary attention from men..

  6. I have never heard ANY Muslim say that headscarf is cultural. If you know anyone.... tell us. But, I am aware that a lot of Muslims say that to the extend you cover yourself has a lot to do with your cultural upbringing. This is something I agree with... and here's why. When it comes to the headscarf, I know that most people agree it is required in Islam. When it comes to niqaab, people are not all on the same page. Some believe it is required, some don't. I personally believe it's not required, but then again that's my opinion. At the same time, some people will argue and say that you have to be covered up head to toe except your eyes, that is something I don't agree with because there is no definite surah or hadith that says you need to do that. That's where the problem is...

  7. Technically the Qur'an does not say to wear hijab. That is where hadith comes in.

The Qur'an appears to say women are not suppose to appear attractive in public to the point a man may find her attractive.

I am not 100% sure of this, but from what I read that seems to be the case unless you go into hadith which varies from saying only reveal hands and face, to covering the entire body.

  8. Honestly "Zeenah" is a very wide term. Different guys are "turned on" by different things. So if you wanna play that game, then you should cover every thing. Because you never know who is attracted to what on your body.

  9. Well to say it Is not cultural is a lie.

To say its not required by islam.....i hold the middle ground.

...that they should draw their khimar (veils) over their bosoms....

Thats where people get into the argument.  Is the verse telling women to use a veil.......or since ALL women wore veils at the time (although in a show-offy way)....and their clothes were see-thru.....to just use the veil to cover their chest rather than making them wear thick clothes in the desert.
