  1. It is a personal issue with morals. I treat everyone the same until they become close. I am not uncivil with anyone. It is a choice.

  2. I call this: "Doing the right thing, because it is the right thing to do."  What goes around, comes back around.  We reap what we sow.

Why not acknowledge others we don't like?

I just attended my High School reunion.  I really didn't want to go because of several reasons.  I decided to go.  Once there, I found that many others felt the same as I did.  There were people I did not like before the reunion (I'm sure there were some that did not like me.)  Post reunion:  I now have a few new friends from attending.  I still have some "enemies" as well, but we gave each other "Acknowledgment."

I just feel better being kind to others, as I hope they would be kind to me.  What else is there?  We are ALL part of the HUMAN race.  Live and let live.

  3. They are probably just being polite, unless they are pointing out the fact they do not like the person; then they are just being a jackass.

  4. For kicks

  5. Because it's just polite to do so. You don't have to marry them or take them home, just be civil.

    Best wishes. ☺

  6. acknowledge as in talk to them? or do you mean they tell the person they don't like them?

the first would be that they are big enough to suck it in or they are just scared enough to suck it in.

the second could be that they want that person to know how they make others feel in order to maybe change them. or it could be they are biotches that like to hurt people by sharing their misery with them.
