Why do some answers to my questions not show up below my question?

I got a message from yahoo answers saying I have a new answer to my question. I read the first few words of the question and then go the the site- nothing is there. It looked like an interesting answer, but maybe someone flagged it or something?

You have a filter set to not show any answers with a "thumbs down" rating , you can still click on it to show though .

Maybe the answerer deleted the response before you could get to read it.
