Why do some balls bounce and others while others don't?

i have two balls that look exactly the same. why does one ball bounce while the other doesnt??

    this is because of the structure and weight of the balls. I am sure that the weights and material of construction of both the balls is different.

  2. It depends on the density, mass, particle composition and absorption of energy of the balls momentum once dropped on a surface.

    A dense big iron ball would not bounce

    A hollow small rubber ball will bounce.

    As hollow means less force of gravity reacting on the ball small size also does the same and that its made out of rubber an elastic type material which is not rigid gives it the ability to little energy creating hardly any absorbing till many bounces.

  3. Looks is not everything.

    Study the balls properly.  What material are they made of, and are they different?  Are the balls hollow, or solid?  Are the masses of each ball different?
