Why do some bones appear to have some form of colours like pink and green after cremation?

I witnessed this today after collecting the remains of a love one after cremation, some of the bones appear pinkish with green specks. Was told by the folks there that black coloured bones may be the results of medication whereas bones that appear pink, green or blue suggest that a person had lead a helpful and good life. Would like to know more about the cultural and scientific aspects of this.

there are the phsycial answers and there are the metaphyscal.    my mom had a lot of pink bones and a lot of yellow ones, though most are white.  there are green flecks and there is one that is purplish.

 

if one seeks physical answers, one can find them.  a GCMS would certainly do it.

 

but that is not the answers you seek.  You seek understanding,  This colored bone phenomena is often observed on Buddhists.
