It's called sexual selection, and it's found in nature, too.

See, women who have wider hips are better able to bear children than those with narrower hips. And b*****s are used for nursing offspring; which theoretically could indicate those with larger b*****s have more capacity for milk for their babies.

Sexual selection happens in all sorts of creatures, from humans to peacocks. Why would female peahens lust for males with larger, more colorful tail feathers? Because those are the males who are healthier, and have better genes to pass on to their offspring. It's not like the females are conciously thinking "Good, this one has good genes," it's just an instinct, just like it's the same thing with humans.
