Why do some country's start Ramadan earlier than others?

I live in the USA, last year my best friend who lives in Pakistan said Ramadan started, when Ramadan wasn't due for a day later. Why is this?

it's bcoz they didn't see the moon in the night of doubt(ليلة الشك)

maybe it's because the moon already showed in that country, ahead of the other countries practicing ramadan.

ours is lunar colander,so it varies on how we start ramadan,have eid etc

dear sister, Ramadan is a month of the lunar calender, and it depends upon the moon. the moon is different in differen places and so the month starts earlier in some places and late in some.

Every country, or mosque, has a different way to determine when Ramadan starts. Some mosques believe that you should see the moon locally, others believe that if they see the moon in Saudi Arabia then it is Ramadan everywhere else. Well It depends Upon the Moon. The exact dates of Ramadan change every year because Islam uses a lunar.

I know its a Shame that Muslims nowadays are not united and got difference of opinions ! If we talk about the Uk some people follow Pakistan and some Follow Saudi Arabia. I support those who follow Saudi arabia cause I read it in some Islamic Book that if u live in a place where its very difficuly to Sight a moon then Follow ur nearest Islamic country and whats Better then Follwing our Centre The Great Mecca !
