  1. Because they aren't real bright!

The vehicle never uses more fuel than when under hard acceleration.   Racing from one light to the next uses far more fuel than a steady pace.   Ideally,  lights should be timed so that someone doing slightly less than the posted speed should  breeze right through without any stopping.

  2. Cos they're in a hurry?

  3. If there young kids, that is stupidity.

If the people are older it's still stupid.

Or "just for the fun of it" A testosterone thing to be better and foolish at the same time.

  4. so that they can stop and wait and block the flow of traffic. you, being familiar with the route, know the light timing and cruise at just the right speed so it is green and that if they hadn't rushed up to the light you could keep going through, but no, you have to now stop or slow down and wait for them to accelerate. they get a kick out of knowing that they have irritated you.

what you need to do is buy an old junker and next time just rear end such a driver. don't forget to lay on the horn 3 seconds before collision so they can brace for impact.

  5. cuz they need to get somewhere, or there just too lazy to stop

  6. im 16 and i do it because i have fun espically if the car next to me is willing to floor it to. not sure why it would bother you unless your sitting next to a car that wants ro race

  7. stupidity. or maybe they just like sitting at lights. i always laugh at these idiots.

  8. Because they think they will get somewhere faster, but they actually don't. They are just not very "common sense" smart. Some people just don't get the big picture.

  9. My commute is scant so I don't care about the gas I use; whether I fill up once every week and five days or once every two weeks doesn't matter.  The lights here are timed so that it doesn't matter your speed... unles you go 10mph between lights you aren't hitting a green...

I bought a fast car, and I put a short-throw shifter and a racing clutch on it for a reason... I like feeling the thing pull G's when I take off.

I'm not racing anyone, just having a blast with the top down.  Deal with it.

And oh yeah, if you rear end me in your junker to teach me some sort of lesson... you WILL regret it.  Badly.
