Why do some engines have cooler lines for the Power steering fluid?

My engine has cooler lines going to and from the radaitor for the power steering resivor?

Most newer cars & trucks have some way to help keep the power steering fluid from over heating ... this is because the engine compartment of todays cars is much more compact and todays engines are designed to run much hotter than cars of a few decades ago ... also studies have found keeping the power steering fluid cooler helps prolong the life of the pump, rubber lines, and the system seals, and it also helps to maintain the viscosity of the fluid itself.
