Question:

Why do some female tennis players feel that they have to show their nipples?

Or is it the kit makers? I'm pretty sure that the players have inputs. Kudos to Serena, Jankovic, Sharapova, Bartoli, Hanklerod and Golovin who are well dressed. Thumbs down to Venus, Ivanovic, Hantuchova and the likes. They should be able to stand up and complain. In my opinion, it takes away from their great tennis plays and objectifies them thereby making them into s*x objects...something to sell WTA. Shame on them all...I have to check who's playing to make sure my 6 year old son can watch.

I think the WTA should rethink this obvious objective to "s*x up" tennis and do something about it. Institute a code for kit manufacturers to comply with! Change the dress code or get them padded bras or something. Tennis was born a decent sport and should remain so. Graf, Sabatini, Navratilova, and Sanchez Vicario didn't have to wear flimsy nipple-showing tops before we watched them in the 1990s.

  1. That drives me crazy!!!!   It looks so stupid as if they can't afford bras of quality.  Not every girl has long beams up top.  Hanchekova looks like she's holding up flashlights, and Hanklerod is preparing for a show.  Golovin isn't that bad, but I guess it depends on the fabric she's wearing.  It just looks really gross.

    Dress code would be smart!

  2. If i was a parent i would agree with you. Because im not a big fan of sexing anything up for the sake of ratings, because it lowers the quality of anything.

But as a single guy who is not getting any, and too poor to date. I cant complain and always look forward to seeing those girls jump around and what not with there tight tops and short skirts

  3. I actually agree with Rafa Rocks. Although I thought Ana's dress was a bit much last night, I'm not gonna complain about Rafa and his s**y arms, or James Blake taking his top off. In fact, to me, the male tennis players are just as bad as the women, possibly worse. I don't approve of that chick posing for Playboy, and I don't really like Sharapova and her endless self promotion, but I'm not gonna complain if Blake poses topless am I, or when Rafa takes his shirt off? Its their choice, and as long as they are allowed a choice I am Ok with it. Its not up to us to impose Orwellian restrictions on them. I think its a bit silly you not letting ur six yr old see a bit of leg, but that not for me to decide. As long as they don't end up running around nude then I think we just have to accept tennis has become a very s**y sport.

  4. I noticed this too and totally agree that it's a distraction from a good tennis match. So the answer is probably that they wanna sell women's tennis as being fun to watch because the women are attractive when they don't have to

  5. i agree with you!

  6. Ya you are right

especially about the statement that Jankovic and Golovin are the best dressed

Ivanovic , might not have a very successful career , the way she is going

I mean to say she is just after photo shoots and advertising

i agree that even Maria does so but she knows where to draw a line

It seems like some typical new age nonsense which is in fashion for some tennis players

  7. where you from?  utah?

  8. Why are u make such a big deal out of it?? At least they don't wear bras and they are more comfortable, it's what i would do, don't care if anyone see's my nipples.

  9. They have to be comfortable during a match. But shouldnt puch it either. Buy something thats fits and buy a kind of cloth that obsorbes swaet easily. Or even wear proper fitting shorts or something under the short-short skirt. Breast pads if not bras. They are also being treated like celbritied..under preassure for how good they look. Better looking = more fans = more support during a match.

  10. Are y'all serious? they are sportswomen for godsake, they gotta wear as much less-restrictive clothing as possible and if it means showing a lil boob or nipple, who cares..I'm sure they just wanna win a match.

Djokovic takes off his shirt at every opportunity he gets, Rafa's pants are so tight his butt is all out there.Roddick too is always flashing his nipple and abs..but NO, no one is gonna say a thing bcoz everyone seems to be too concerned with women's sexuality..or threatened by it?

i really don't see anything wrong with the way women dress.

  11. Huge nips are a turn off.
