Why do some football players wear tape under their gloves?

  1. Most players prefer to tape their fingers to avoid breaking them when coming in contact with another player. Some players, usually linemen, also wear them  to help keep them stable when they're ready to come out of the three-point0stance after the ball is snapped. It helps them jump off of the line with more force.


  2. for extra support or to rap up somethin they need to use like wr need to break some dbs hands away from then so they have to slap with there arms and stuff...

  3. Because they jammed their fingers, or sprained it, so they just tape it together.

    tape keeps the joint movement limited so they dont bend back or break. Also gloves are just for the grip and tape for protectionl.
