Why do some left-handed people look like they have a deformity when they are writing or printing?

I said SOME southpaws, not all. The hand looks all curved back to the pulse region.

Can you define DEFORMITY? Are you referring to the way they hold the pen or pencil, or perhaps a facial expression like biting the tongue when they write?
