I've seen in local places, like a local pizza place that they tape up dollars and some are from other countries. I know this isnt a good way to describe it but in the keep the change commercial when the guy is at the bakery they even taped up dollars. I just wanted to know why.

  1. if u mean like on the celing some places do that and when they fall down they give money to charity or something like that or if it is just on the wall it might be the first time the made a sale

  2. It's the "first" dollar a customer ever paid when the place opened.

  3. The first sale they ever made is right, it's a good luck charm, supposed to bring prosperitey for the buisness. If the bill taped up is from another country well I used to work in a greek restaraunt for a greek boss he had some weird money taped up when i asked him about it he said it was from his dad in greece. His dad said it was towards the plane ticket he would need when his buisness failed lol! but yeah it's like a tip jar when you want people to tip you, you have to put a lil cash in first. For good lucky charms!
