Why do some men get mean when they drink?

I know a guy who is lovely when he's sober.

But when he drinks, it only takes a few beers, and he gets mean and stupid - kind of like a nasty teenager. He tries to pick fights, and gets obstinate and...well... just really annoying and a bit of an idiot. Not funny at all - just mean.

By being the meanest, nastiest deadliest creatures that live on earth. Alcohol inhibits higher brain functions and revels the true nature of the beast.

Alcohol causes the blood to clump together.  The brain does not get oxygen or nourishment when the blood clumps.  This causes the illogical behavior.  The person feels they are invincable when they are not.  They feel right when they are wrong.  Feel s**y when they are obnoxious.  etc....    Uninhibited when they should be modest.  Mean when they think they are being kind.

It doesn't matter the gender, just the right amount and they're friendly and funny. Then give them more, they're satan incarnate!

It's not only some men who get nasty when they drink, it's also some women. It's a curse that cuts across gender lines. I'm sure it's all tied into to emotional health and self-esteem, but the simple answer is that alcohol causes different reactions in different people.
