A recent case allowed a mistress to collect palimony They never lived together), also do not forget common law marriage. If it is really a big concern, then you better dump your girlfriend before 12 months.

  1. Am I supposed to cry Boo Hoo for this?  Palimony Shlalimony!  This isn't in reference to a marriage ending thru irreconcilable differences.  This is in reference to some scum liar who was married and cheated with someone young enough to be his daughter.  Then he bought an apartment somewhere so they could have a place for him to commit his child molestation.  All the while he was lying to his family and wife.

Too Bad!  This guy deserves what he gets, and so do all men who do c**p like this.

  2. Because the guys on here like Mike T and Cassius are just ranting about the 'evils' of women and nothing can make them cahgne their mind or see things from a different point of view.

  3. Misanthrope: That link you posted comments "The only states where this lawsuit can still be brought are: Hawaii, Illinois, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Dakota, and Utah. All the other states have abolished it either by statute or case law."

So only 8 states is that applicable for. Something to keep in mind, but not applicable for most people.

For common law; you merely have to charge her rent for it not to apply.

  4. Yes, this happens a lot. I am not saying to not get a girlfriend or wife. That's what we need to make sure that the family unit is stable. All of these things are brought to us by the global agenda of the elite society or the "New World Order." Why do you think that the government gives women "special rights." For control issues! What we need to do is ban together and let these people know that we Tell them what do, not them tell us. WE THE PEOPLE!

We Are Change! CHANGE= Coalition for Halting the Agenda of the Nefarious Global Elite!

  5. Lets not forget the wife whether by common law or maritial status can not only take your money but your mistresses money as well.  Have you heard of Alienation of Affection?

  6. That's tough.  He did support her - even if it was only by purchasing a home for her to live in - for 20+ years.  If it was a year or two, maybe even 5, I'd say no way.  But they even tried to have a child together.  I'd say she deserves something.  At least let her keep the home she lived in for all those years?

  7. Oh, yeah, I totally agree with that.  You're conveniently leaving out a detail or two.  One, or example, men who "keep" women or ANYONE in a relationship of ANY kind, who are their sole means of support, actually claim that in taxes, as dependents.  Anytime someone "keeps" someone, the courts interpret that as a "contract" of dependency with security.  It's NOT the man's money.  It belongs to all the partners in that contract of dependent servitude.  Otherwise, it's called either slavery or s*x slavery.  Hard cheese.

  8. Actually, she hasn't yet been able to collect palimony yet.  She's just trying for it.:

"The lower courts have said no, putting the issue before the state Supreme Court in L'Esperance v. Devaney, A-20-07."

Where does common law marriage go in to effect after only 12 months?  Every law I've heard of regarding common law marriages require the couple to have lived together for several years.  I could be wrong, but do you have any further info on that?

  9. I see your point 50/50 but TBH....I'm having trouble feeling sympathy for him.  He did cheat on his wife for 20 years. WTH?

in 20 years he couldnt find the time to say..."darlin this isnt working."?

  10. Apparently they don't live in Canada - where the government takes half your money...

  11. This is an argument for a pre-nup followed by legal marriage.  The only way to keep her or him from walking away with your hard earned stuff.

  12. There are exceptions to everything. The reason SO MANY men here feel that the wife can take half of their assets is because most have been bent over and were gang raped by the legal system. If you are here to suggest that it's even between men and women when it comes to losing your assets in a divorce then you are incredibly naive'.

  13. I think this is total BS.  Married is married.  It is a legal relationship.  There should be no grey area.
