Why do some men never want to eat out?

Like, my dad never wanted to eat out, and now my husband never wants to eat out... what a pain!

They do, just not sure how and where is safe and clean to eat.  I have the same complaint.  Most of the older guys rather stay home and have someone slave and cook the food for them.. The other guys are just worried where is clean, because some places are not that clean.  I think the plan is to tell them two or three days ahead of time that u want to eat at an lobster, pancake bob evans, mcDonalds, substation penn or ;The station, Chilli place or the five start restraurant and i guess thaat might do the trick ,  Tell the tight wad weekends are for pizza, dominos, hungry howies, pizza hut and ordering something..dining out, like ying yangs chineese or order sushi schchwan chicken or like kfc or taco bell or the   Wendy's

probably because they get better food at home cooked by their wives or mothers and it costs less and they don't have to get dressed and they can watch tv at home.

It is possible that neither of them had proper instruction in eating out in a restaurant or had traumatic experiences doing so. Also, it is expensive unless you know what to order and how to find the really good, inexpensive places.

Eating out costs money and it is customary for the man to pickup the check.  Also, some men are too proud to go out and eat because of the fact that they have to ask questions about stuff on the menu.  Sometimes it is a vulnerable thing to tell someone you don't know much about food outside the typical hamburgers and steak.  

I solved this problem by watching cooking shows and check out recipes in the newspaper.  It also helps that my Dad was a chef and taught me how to cook.  Now when I go out to eat, no matter what the variety or style, I always like new things and encourage anyone to try it.

A good idea is to take him out to lunch by surprise.  Treat him to lunch.  Not many guys will pass up a free lunch.  When the bill comes and YOU pay, say "Next time, your treat!  I'll even let you choose the place"  Don't be surprised if he asks you what you like.  Worst case scenario, you end up at Denny's or McDonald's.

Men don't like to eat out because they are cheap and they want to over eat. . .hard to do when you don't want to spend money.
