I noticed the Tech-3 All Terrain boots have metal in the front, but they have another Tech-3 pair with just rubber(or so it seems) in the front.

Would you recommend either pair of these Tech-3 boots?

I am a motocross/enduro rider for a tip. Mosty enduro, not too much jumping but I do sometimes

  1. metal toe for enduros rubber for motocross but i would reccomend the metal toe simply because it will last longer but either way alpinestar make the best boots

  2. The Tech 3 boots with the metal front are the all terrain boot designed more for enduro with an AT sole.  The Tech 3 boot without the metal is designed more like the Tech 10 boot and the shape of the sole is designed to be better for impact and abrasion.

My son has Tech 10 and has just started wearing them after having Tech 8's with the steel cap.  He really likes the support that the shape of them gives and the Tech 3 is designed with the Tech 10 in mind.

If you are not doing a lot of jumping the steel caps are probably the way to go.

  3. Alpinestar makes great boots. The only difference is the metal toe is for longer durability. The regular rubber toe is for motocross. I would recommend the metal toe for either one because they simply last longer. You can't go wrong with the and Alpinestar boot.
