The planets Uranus and Neptune appear superficially to be very similar. There size, coloration, and mass are all comparable. One major difference between the two planets is the atmospheric activity seen as banding and major storms. So...Why do some of the gas giant planets show significant atmospheric banding and large oval-shaped storms? What is one possible reason that Uranus does not show as much activity as Neptune?
