Why do some of you racist people out here make boxing a race issue?

First of all it is entertainment and if you don't like a boxer because of the color of his skin then you the one with the issues. I'm black and I like Manny Pacman. I mean just because you white doesn't mean you can beat everybody in the ring. It comes down to skill rather if you or white, black, yellow, green, etc. I be on youtube a lot and I hear racist comments about how this igger this and that. Then when the igger wins they come up with all these excuses. Just like when Mayweather knocked out Hattan. I mean what do he has to do. I mean if he does fight the top guys you guys still going to talk trash. But if it was a white boxer than it would be okay. But I look at it this way. You guys need to keep your racist attitudes out of boxing. White boxers, black boxers, etc can whup you fat donut eating beer drinking racist no talent scrubs who watch HBO. Where my true boxing fans at in here? Show me some love if you agree with me!

  1. Look i agree with what your saying!!But when you have stupid Guys like B Hopkins saying that no white guy can beat me !!Just fuels the racists!Maybe he needs to understand what that statement dose to his own race!!I was a Hopkins fan but now i hope he eats his words!!

  2. Dont you dare call us fat racist pigs you dirty prick

but the reason i think is that some of them believe in white power and best but it doesnt mean they're in the ku klux klan does it.

  3. The ultimate "break glass in case of emergency" . If fight fans don`t like Mayweather or his antics they must be racist. When Hopkins tells Calzaghe that he`d never let a White person beat him it`s just selling tickets. The problem with questions like your`s is you only seek to confront one kind of racist attitude and that being the White variety.

  4. tl;dr

  5. B-Hop thinks he's very smart. He said something that shouldn't have been said, than try to turn it around to a freedom of speech thing. There's nothing wrong with a person supporting the fighter from his country. I disagree with one person on here. What comes out of B-Hop mouth, doesn't effect other black people. I couldn't blame every white person for the past. On a personal level, I keep the U in United States.  A personal conviction, we have to look at ourselves and say " I'm I keeping the U in United States". I'm glad Jesus died for everyone, not just one race. B-Hop is still stuck in the past. Its great, Joe didn't act like B-Hop and showed him integrity

  6. Don't listen to it my brother.  I've seen something similar with the controversy resulting from the Pacman vs. Marquez II fight - although more on a nationalistic level.  Try to disregard it, not pay attention to it, and try to stick to the facts or opinions based on the boxing or boxing history itself.  Mayweather lays claim to being the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.  Even if some disagree with him, I don't think anyone would think that he is completely off-base with that claim, and if they do, they are so unreasonable as to be not deserving of serious consideration.  (And that's considering that Mayweather is not one of my favorite fighters).

  7. I be not sure what you do.

But seriously, if a person wants to be racist, it truly is his perogitive.  I prefer racists to feel comfortable, that way I know who to avoid.  If I may give you a word of advice...you can waste a lot of time and energy worrying over what other people think.  And half the time, people pretend to be racist for the simple joy of aggravating folks like yourself.  Relax bro, and enjoy this life when it's good, and ignore it when it's bad.  I don't have the time and energy for all the c**p.

  8. I don't read the posts when I watch boxing films on youtube, so I haven't seen the attitudes you're talking about.  You might be well advised to ignore them also.  With or without racist attitudes, they're probably not going to do much to help you analyze the fight you watched.  Save yourself some aggravation.

A true boxing fan who is anglo and a racist is about as rare as a big midget.  If you like the sport, you have to like the fighters.  And if the best fighters are black, or any other race or ethnicity, those are the guys you like and root for.  My all time favorite fighter is Muhammad Ali, followed by Sugar Ray Robinson. If I made a list of my top 25, there might be two or three anglos on that list.  They would be outnumbered by Mexicans and Puerto Ricans.  I'm anglo and I'm not a racist; I'm a boxing fan.

BTW, I also like Pacman, but I think Marquez won their recent fight.

  9. On the real, you cant let that type of stuff get to you. There will always be ppl who don't like people that are different than them, no matter the reason (race, weight, wealth, whatever). their opinion is just that, like you said if you don't like someone b/c of those reasons, you're the one with the problem.

Edit- B hop is an idiot, listen to him speak, he is dumb. he is a great boxer that uses ploys such as this to get ratings. he stomped the puerto rican flag against Tito and pushed winky wright in the face at the press conferences. this is what this guy does, so don't look to him when talking about racism in boxing. he wants to sell tickets and make his purse bigger.

  10. All I know is, Bernard Hopkins said, "I will never let a white-boy beat me!"  He said that in reference to the dynamite, undeafted Welsh fighter, Joe Calzaghe.  I guess that should explain to you why boxing is still a racist sport.  BTW...B-Hop is going d-o-w-n.

  11. usually these people are weak and hate everything not just black vs white but whoopers over big macks.... white castles vs krystals.......ford vs dodge..ewwwwww now that's ugly either way......i see a lot of the same thing but you gotta tune them out and in enjoy the art and the fighter you like wether he's african/american,caucasian, polynesian, asian,latino........ h**l pygmy

  12. Yup, I just finished seeing that on HBO ----Hopkins got in Calzaghe's face and told him that no white boy was going to beat him--Jermain Taylor probably thought the same thing...before losing twice to a white guy....by the way I'm Mexican-American[with some German blood]....and you should see the way Mexicans and Puerto-Ricans talk c**p about each other....unfortunately this is just part of human nature.

  13. If you look hard enough you will find someone with a negative slant on every issue in the world......... unfortunately the specific issue that you bring up is one that plagues the world and it just happens to have seeped into the world of boxing throughout the years..... being a realist I would have to tell you to find a better way to deal with it or to somehow ignore it because racism is not an issue in society(and therefore boxing too) that is going to go away anytime in the near future........ I think all we can do is teach the next generation that racist views are wrong and then hope that a generation sometime in the distant future has the opportunity to see a world where people are  not judged on superficial things such as skin color.
