Why do some people always think the grass is greener?

Why can't they just tell you it's over instead of dragging it out for months or years longer than it has to be - what are they gaining from doing this? Or better yet why do they stay in the relationship with you while they look for a replacement, any replacement, and then use any excuse to jump from one ship to another. Leaving you confused, hurt, betrayed and completely dumbfounded? Isn't this rather sociopathic behavior? Haven't they heard of Karma and/or reaping what you sow? Or do they think their exempt? What is their logic?

Just venting...I just find these greener pasture seekers to be rather comical and self destructive.

I think they are weak *ss pricks that seek to destroy lives.  Misery loves company. "oh her grass is greeener"....then discover it's over a septic tank.... And the minute you are truly done, here they come with a new song and dance wanting you back...GET THE H*LL OUT OF HERE.  I'm venting too hehehe

I think those who cheat think that they have good reason to do so.  The people I've talked to about cheating say that there is a reason that their significant other gave them, which drove them to cheat.  Therefore, I don't think they're doing anything wrong at all, so they won't think that Karma will get to them, because they feel they're doing the right thing in the end.  Anyone can rationalize anything if they give it enough of a try.

i think that they are stupid and weak.  i know how you feel.  my ex cheated with my friend/neighbor and they took off leaving me with the kids.  but he comes crawling back when the grass is not greener.  let them rot in H#LL.  

u will be fine.  keep your chin up.  enjoy your freedom.  life does not stop and you must grow as a person.

I know how you feel.  My husband thinks the grass is greener, but every time I talk to him I can hear the sadness and disappointment in his voice and I love it because I am moving on with my life and I am enjoying every minute.  All my husband has to say to me is that he wants his marriage, but he has too much pride for that right now, so he deserves to be miserable for the time being.  They always forget that the grass on the other side needs to be maintained also.

I feel your pain totally. My wife just up and told me one day she wanted a divorce, no marriage counseling, nothing. Then I found out she was in bed with another guy the next week. She just used me for  a security blanket until she found a replacement. People like this are weak , and truely have no heart. They are selfish people and only care about themselves. I am hurt and betrayed as you are. I feel your pain more than you know. You are not alone. I hope that in the end "life comes full circle" and her sins catch up with her.

It's easier, and people are looking for peace anyway it comes.  It's not right, but it's less stressful than working on your own relationship and taking time to work thru major problems.  I agree that it IS worth it to go ahead and work thru the issues than to do the grass is greener thing.  It's better in the long run for everyone.  We live in a very impatient society.

because they are cowards...people who cheat are scared of leaving the "safety blanket" [wife, home, "family" life] so they drag on and on. When deceit is involved the grass will never be greener on the other side, because for a grass to be cleaner it needs light and we all know deceit is done in darkness.
