I mean, it's a bit like saying information didn't exist before Al Gore invented the Internet.

  1. That question doesn't really make sense. Al Gore did not "invent Global Warming", and nobody actually believes that there were no hurricanes before Al Gore or global warming.

  2. Are you sure this is a valid claim? I tended  to think it was common knowledge that hurricanes existed before the so-called global warming.

I don't think Al Gore invented global warming- he just propagated it.

  3. First off Al Gore is a hypocrite and he didn't invent Global Warming...he just made it more publicized and raised awareness....

hurricanes existed waaayyy before Al Gore spoke about global warming

    go to

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricanes

    for more information about hurricanes

as for the people who believe hurricanes didn't exist before Al Gore "invented" Global Warming, all i can say is they are ignorant to the facts and believe anything the mainstream media says

  4. Who are these "some people" - a link, source or citation please.

If these people do exist then I would suggest that the answer to your question is that they are obviously uneducated, ignorant and/or stupid (as you don't need education to see the fallacy in that statement).

O, and probably young and/or don't live in an area affected by tropical storms.

By the way, it seems a uniquely American perspective that Al Gore has anything to do with global warming, hurricanes, the internet, etc; the rest of the world certainly doesn't; I recommend that you stop revolving around Gore and simply start looking at what everyone else is saying and doing.

  5. duh... hurricanes are natural process of earth.. it existed way before human beings..

I think Al Gore is just trying to raise awareness about global warming. you see, it's not the person talking, it's the message that counts. so maybe you need to stop looking at the person and start listening to what he is saying

  6. it was something to do with media coverage on hurricanes and i am a skeptic and think thats why their blaiming all the huricanes on AGW because we only see what they can film

  7. Global warming hype is supported but not necessarily believed by teachers, politicians, the mass media, and a minority of scientists, who all believe that they can make money. I find it absolutely incredulous that most of these people actually believe in man-made global warming.

I guess the thinking would be something like this. Yes global warming does exist and we know its not, because of man, but as long as we can blame man, we can make lots of money.

Now that we have linked man with natural disasters, like heating up the planet; Why not hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, and any other natural disaster that may happen. LOL all the way to the bank.

  8. WOW!!!  Al Gore invented the Internet, and Global Warming???

    Do people actually believe that???

Who knows why some people believe what they do.

maybe they should check their load of brick.

they might be a few short.

  9. He probably should just be blamed for being a lying politician.  He uses disasters for political gain in some of the most vile ways.  He would be deserving of ridicule and condemnation even if he didn't always talk to people like they are in kindergartens.  He must enjoy scaring little school girls in his quest to gain power at the expense of the nation.  They aren't just mistakes.  They are obviously calculated outright baldfaced lies and distortions.  This is only one example and there are countless others.  Global warming doesn't increase hurricanes.  The shearing effect from high altitude warmer air reduces the strength of the storms.  Not only would it not increase them, it would actually reduce them.

  10. Well Al didn't invent either the internet or Global Warming. For the later global warming always existed, if not, humans and most other species wouldn't even exist, since we'd still be in a major glaciation period. Especially, if it had become colder and encroached further South. The creatures and plants on this planet started thriving once we moved out of this glaciation period 10,000 to 15,000 years ago. The thing most scientists were studying before the Anthropogenic Global Warming theory was born, was how much longer we had in this intergalacial period, since they discovered these interglacial periods had occured a few times during the major glaciation periods.

I have a feeling we hit a major peak temperature wise, and now will start a slow decline in temperature to another glaciation period. Just like looking at past mistakes as humans to keep from repeating those mistakes. We need to look at the earths past and realize since these things occured multiple times in the past the chances that they will occur again in the earths future are very plausible.

So we should be planning for this eventuality and not something we can't do anything about. Because if a glaciation does happen again we are ill prepared to handle it. Just like we are ill prepared to handle sea levels rising in any significant way.

My point is that everything this planet does is natural and has happened in the past. And everything we humans create is also part of this planet.
