Why do some people blow their nose and then look in the tissue as to if inspect the contents?

Why do some people blow their nose and then look in the tissue as to if inspect the contents?

To see what is expelled.

They may look because if it's yellow or green there could be an infection.... on the other hand, some people are just flipping weird. :-)

Those who inspect for like 20 seconds do it just to be disgusting but i admit i have a quick look to make sure its all okay. My nose bleeds easily (i can be sat watching tv and it'll start) so i just look to make sure it isnt bleeding.

That's just nature's way of allowing us to "check ourselves". When anything comes out of or goes into my body, I want to know what it is!
