  1. We definetly call in ketchup in canada

  2. It probably depends on how far back the person's memory goes.  It kind of looks like the difference between "aeroplane" and "airplane" - it's mostly just a semantic difference between an older term and a more modern one.

  3. their freaks and thats weird

  4. lol, i thought they were to different things :D, as for the question, i don't think they can pronounce "Ketch" so they say cat because its easier. (i say ketchup btw)

  5. Some people are just old fashioned. You gotta watch this clip from the King of Queens (The Ketchup Fight)

    http://tw.youtube.com/watch?v=qIn0vviLJS...

If it doesn't come up, just do a youtube search for it

  6. Believe it or not, there are differences, one is more expensive then the other.  But that is because it is more ground and filtered ( forget which one's which) but in the tomatoes there are maggots and other bugs.  The more expensive one has been filtered better and has less bugs.

P.s Do you still like ketchup?

  7. It's just a vernacular thing.  Like some people say soda, pop, coke, soft drinks, etc.  It's just whatever locals say.

  8. I think it depends on where your from and how your parents pronounced things. At my house my husband and I joke because he says " Amond (A-mond) with the L silent and I say Almond (All mond). His family also says Krick instead of creek. Now I chuckle inside when I hear things said differently then I would say them!!

  9. Because their g*y...

  10. it depends on where ur from i guess

  11. its a regional thing..

  12. Because they are both technically correct.  Look it up in the dictionary- they are both there, and are both perfectly acceptable.

  13. Catsup is the Canadian equivalent of ketchup. But both are acceptable, kind of like to-mae-to and to-mah-to

  14. I think people from Canada call it "catsup".

Catsup comes from the Canadian dish "Catsoup". Which was eatin by the Mounties. Its made with Ketchup and kittens.

Thats a FACT! Look it up!
