I mean when you are going 40 in a 35 zone and they go around you 50 or 60 mph as if you are the problem. Why don't they go around at first rather than driving behind you for a second before getting mad?

  1. Walt Disney made a cartoon with goofy in it called Mr walker and Mr wheeler that might explain it better. its about a guy getting into his car and becomeing someone else. its funny

  2. Because they are in a rush and are intolerent people.  They think by going driving faster they can make up for their lateness and other weaknesses.

  3. Because they are much more important than you are and apparently you had the audacity to keep them from going the speed that they wanted to drive...

  4. they're impatient.. i get that alot and they speeeeed past like its nothing.. its annoying but oh well there the ones who are going to get in trouble.

  5. Impatience.  People can't wait for anything anymore, because technology has made everything so fast.  People no longer have time for physical space.

  6. I know exactly what you mean! when i was driving to work today on the freeway the speed limit was of course 65mph and i was going about 75mph this guy was riding my *** for about 4 miles and honking and **** then he finally got around me and stared me down and flicked me off he flew ahead of me i think he was going at least 90mph i guess he was in a hurry but people like that p**s me off! sometimes i get infront of someone i know looks impatient and i slow way down and make it so they cant go around me its pretty funny.

  7. Hmm, why is it a common occurrance for you to have people going by you being angry at you???

Maybe it's because you're doing something you shouldn't be.

It annoys me to no end when someone is driving and doesn't realize they are doing something wrong.  I see them all the time.  They are just driving along being a complete dumb-*** and then they wonder why everybody around them is giving them dirty looks.

Let me list some of the finer points of driving that many people don't seem understand that pisses us real drivers off:

    - On the freeway:  The far left lane is for the fastest traffic.  The far right lane is for the slowest traffic.  It doesn't matter if you're driving 20MPH over the speed limit. If you are driving the same speed as everybody else, you shouldn't be in the left lane.

    - On the freeway: If you are in the far left lane, and somebody tailgates you, that is the universally understood signal for you to move out of the left lane.  Sometimes the person in front just doesn't get it, and so sometimes the guy behind will flash.  If you don't move out of the way, you WILL get dirty looks.

    - On the freeway: if you know you can't drive the same speed as everybody else (like you have a fishtank full of fish in your passenger seat) you should be in the far-right lane and not in any other lane.

    - Use your turn signal.  And signal early enough for everybody to see.

    - Don't keep your turn signal on for 26 miles.

    - Don't cut across multiple lanes at once.  Do each lane at a time.

    - on a road with 2 lanes going in the same direction, if you're in left lane, and you're driving the exact same speed as another car in the right lane, you need you understand that you are completely blocking the entire freeway.  Nobody can get past either one of you.  Generally, it's up to the guy in the left lane not to do this.  People will look at you as the dumb-***.

    - Not accepting that you made a mistake.  Too many people miss a turn or an exit and think they can fix it.  So they cut across traffic, or they slow down trying to cut in.  Don't try to fix it immediately!  You need to accept that you made a mistake and fix your error at an appropriate time. It may mean you have to go down to the next block and make a u-turn.

    - Don't drive around with your foot resting on the brake pedal.

    - Don't step on the brake if you don't intend on slowing down.  So many people seem like they're scared of being in a car and it makes them feel better to step on the brake every 10 seconds.  But the car never actually slows down.  Don't be one of these people.  Only step on the brake when you want to slow down the car.

    - If you are stopped on a hill, you need to understand that some people drive stick-shift cars.  If the car in front of you is a stick shift car, it will roll backwards a little bit when he tries to go again.  So don't pull up against his rear bumper.  Either you're gonna get a bumperful of car, or you're just gonna p**s him off cause he has to use his hand-brake to avoid hitting you.

    - Don't just stop your car in the middle of the street in traffic, and make everybody else go around you.  This should be a no-brainer, but I've seen it happen.

Almost all the errors are caused by the driver not being aware of other drivers, and not being aware of how their own behavior is affecting the cars around them.  They are focused on themselves and don't take into consideration "the flow of traffic".  Your goal should be to not disrupt "the flow of traffic".  You should be thinking ahead about how your decisions will affect not only yourself, but everybody else around you.

You must be aware of the special rules associated with the far-left lane.  Fix this one thing and many people will stop being angry with you.

  8. Maybe they're havin a heart attack and driving to the hospital. They may expect you to be psychic.

  9. I agree with the person above me, everyone is so caught up in thier on worlds now that we don't have time for that.

  10. I just go slow to annoy those people, they need to obey laws if they dont then they will just have to live with someone driving the speed limit.
