Why do some people drive with their foot constantly on and off the brake?!?

That is a pet peeve of mine while on the road--what is yours?

I guess it is caution.  If you lived in my area of the UK, with mega traffic congestion, you would realise why people are always braking.  My own pet hate is drivers on your tail - I HATE it!!

When you are following the car in front, if you say to yourself, only the fool breaks the 2 second rule, you should reach the point the car in front was at, on starting the sentence when you say rule. Get It?

Basically cos they have never learned to drive, traffic would flow better if people learned to leave more room (other motorists have time to emerge from junctions therefore side roads wouldn't back up, pet peeve of mine too, also middle lane heroes

People with automatic cars do this and old men, I don't want to include women but I feel that I have to respond in an even manor, not all women but a lot, this is but one of their failings when driving, I don't want to to sound sexist but they can at times be oblivious to other vehicles and there surroundings, in all matters of manoeuvring and controlling a car or on fact a shopping trolley, there mind seems to be on other things, maybe they are multi-tasking at the time. I watched one lady today, 30/40s whilst parking in a multi-story car park take 4 goes at it and eventually reversed into the kerb and concrete pillar and still missed the parking bay by 30% of the car width, it was only a civic.

I repeat, not all women are like this.

Because they cant anticipate other drivers and slow down accordingly. So they drive right up close then realise and have to brake. My pet peeve is people who drive up your exhaust pipe esp at night when their lights blind you!

The dangerous idiots that drive like snails in the middle lane but think its ok cos they aren't speeding!

They don't even change lanes whilst people are going passed doing the speed limit either side of them!!

If you do this - get in the SLOWER lane PLEASE!!

I dunno does my head in we were going somewhere before xmas a guy was driving 10 miles an hour in front of my sister for about 15 minutes it was too busy to overtake so the queue behind built up he kept tapping his brakes it was so annoying when the road was clear to overtake we and others did all to get flashed speeding 40 in a 30!! all being prosecuted surely his driving was just as dangerous and ppl should be fined going to slow lol ne way rant over thanks for letting me get that off my chest its my sister I feel sorry for and we were late for the show we went to see !!

I suspect it could because they are travelling too close to the vehicle in front and are failing to anticipate events.
