Question:

Why do some people hang on to their hate for so long? ?

Does hating someone help some people think better of them self because they don't do the things that the hated person does. So the more people you hate and the longer you hate them then the better person you are compared to them. Or is it just easier to hate someone to feel better about yourself than to try to be a better person and have an internal reason to feel better about yourself

  1. Being mad is easier then being hurt. Maybe it's a defense mechanism. What did you do to make them hate you?

  2. Personal I don't hate people because I want to hide my feelings or Want to feel better...I can actually say i have hated people i know for years and it is because there are feelings there and some people think there right and others "know there right" and there stubborn..If you dislike a person you should let them know that way there is room for decision yes it may hurt there feelings but don't you think ignoring is worse??? it is like someone has a big stain on the back of there shirt are you going to say something now or wait untill they get home to notice and feel like an A@@....Hate is strong word and it is better to say dislike but i do think some people hate other to make them selfs feel better..just like our parents always say "someone has it worse than you" it is easier to cope with hate than actually seeing the real picture

  3. You are wrong in your assessment , and you do not know that people that hate are all ways ignored and some times  people keep away from them. Hating a person does not make you feel better,in reality you are the one who get hurt. It is not truth that by hating you think better, what you are doing is obnoxious  and against your religion, cause you should love every body, and hatred must be abolished from your system, cause you should        love your neighbor as your self even if he hate you profoundly

  4. Hate is hard to get over. You can't forget it, but you can move on enough to let it not control your life. It is like forgiveness, how to forgive someone who did something so horrible to you.

  5. I think you are right that some people hate others just so they can feel better about themselves, they are usually unhappy people that are not satisfied with themselves, thus hating comes easy.Hate is such a useless emotion and waste of time, because your hating will not change that person at all, you could better use that time and effort trying to change the things about yourself that makes you such an angry person. Good question.

  6. because people are that bored....

  7. I used to hate someone because I didn't want to be "hurt" by them, and I held onto it for a very long time. I just think that people kind of keep that state of mind because they feel stronger and more able to protect themselves as letting their guard down would make them vulnerable.
