Why do some people hate L.A. / Why do some people love it?

Some people thrive in a competitive environment.  Some people don't.

Well, the economics and Hollywood is WHAT makes the hate and love IN my every opinion.  

Otherwise, smog?  That's all I can think of.  But that's a hate, nothing you can love.

Some people hate L.A. because of the traffic and the smog!

Some people like L.A. because of the mild climate and the proximity to the mountains and the beaches.

It depends on who you talk to.
