"everything" is subjective. self-loathing has it's place, though..

The reason could be that we  take notice of the glaring disparities and move our Butts a bit faster and work for what we really want so  badly.

That's so not true everynone is beautiful inside or out & as of money it's not neccesary to have lots of.  All u need is the $ to survive no more no less.  I bet if u stop thinking this way u'll be happy.

Let me impart this piece of wisdom I have gained from life experience: Never compare yourself to someone else because their lives are more screwed up than you think.

Frankly, for every person you think has it made, there is another looking at you thinking the same thing.  Money and looks are not all that they are cracked up to be, and if you don't believe that, think of all the beautiful rich and famous people who are raging alcoholics, drug addicts, and/or commit suicide.
