  1. This account is mostly for answering questions re my hobby which is collecting and archiving magazines and for Y! Answers Philippines. I have a previous account, still active but I use it exclusively to answer questions from people on my contact list, and I have one more Y! Answers account for answering questions related to my field of work.

Why do I have different account for each category? I'm prepared for the onslaught of trolls specially here at Y! Answers Philippines which seems to have some users "stalking" and casting out someone by deliberately reporting legitimate answers as "not an answer." That's one reason I keep my Q&A private in my other account. Appealing for your answer doesn't help either. You'll only get an auto-response message.

It is not a violation to have multiple Yahoo Answers account as long as you do not use an account to cheat for points. Now, if anyone suspects I am leeching points, it's their burden to prove.

Anyone can report anyone whom they suspect of having multiple accounts but I doubt you could use IP addresses to charge someone of creating multiple accounts. After all, they may be more than one person in a household sharing computer.

  2. But you could still only obtain points for whatever profile you're using.

  3. Some have two or three accounts as a back-up in case they lose their main account due to frivolous reporting. These guys and gals do not cause any problem.

Some have two accounts so that they can use their anonymous account to ask/answer 'touchy' questions/answers.

Others have many accounts which they use to cheat and troll their way up to the Leader board and to maintain their TC badges.

For those of you who state you cant benefit points wise, well your wrong. Imagine you have 1 main account that you use here daily and 10 other (troll) accounts which you use alternatively. Each week these ten accounts ask a question or two and then their Best Answers (10 points) go to yourself, some friends (have to buy loyalty now a days),

How does a person with one account compete with this set up? Well you either make a couple of discreet accounts yourself or join the troll queen and become one of her beneficiaries.

    edit

What the profile above me has done is probably more of a requirement or a safety feature here on Yap. I personally believe that most should do the same.

  4. oh sure-- it's a trend, no big deal just have fun while you can

  5. They probably make two accounts so they can a private one to ask secret questions and a public one that all their friends know about and can reference in discussion. More points is not possible with multiple accounts. Hope this helps

  6. maybe they'll ask a question and they'll answer it on the other account then they'll choose the answer from their other account as the best answer...

  7. Some people have multiple accounts.......for a variety of reasons.......not the least of which is to inflate their scores and gain points...... somehow they think that if they have a high score they become "somebody'..... but a phony is a phony even if he is the only person who knows the truth......

I do not mind multiple accounts......I do not care about the scores inflated or not.....I do not even mind when the poster selects NOT the best answer but one that matches their obvious bias (expect that)...... It does bother me that some people come on here and print the most outrageous c**p then hide.....If you hold an opinion have the courage to defend your views.... support your claims......

This forum is purported  to be a place for "answers"..... a source of "truth"..... not some place where silly games are played......or ignorant myths are perpetuated
