  1. I hear that about Indian food all the time but never Middle Eastern or Persian food!  I think ME/Persian food is much lighter and healthier than Indian food, I actually love it!

What sauces?  Do you mean hummus, baba ghanouj...?  Your friends need to be more open minded, there's more to life than burgers & fries!

  2. Are you serious? Wow, I have never heard any of my friends say that.  I absolutely LOVE Middle Eastern food.  I am part Turkish, and my boyfriend is Persian, so I eat it as often as I can! And I usually find Middle Eastern dishes to be lighter than European food and other cuisines... The only reason that people may not like it is because of the heavier use of spices and the cumin or garlic present in many dishes, a lot of people find it to be an acquired taste.

  3. food consumed in the US is very bland in compared with homemade Indian, Middle eastern or Mexican food so that when eaten the spices are too strong for certain individuals making them feel "Heavy", "with a rock on their stomach" I am sure you heard them all.

  4. I'm not sure cos I loooove middle eastern food : )

  5. 'cuz they anit gots the cultreness you have running in them.

  6. My only complaint with it is the bus fare...........

  7. Lol! I love Middle Eastern Food! And I don't have problem with it!

  8. I had a male friend that was prone to use the restroom every time we ate middle eastern food...I think it had to do with the fact that his fave food was cheeseburgers and he ate them on a daily..so I think his body just needed time to adjust to the acidity of the lemons and antibacterial spices we use such as garlic. I loooove middle eastern food even more than the cous cous dishes of Morocco, where I was born. Viva, w'rat diwali, foul, mansaff, bami'ya, kibbi......:)

  9. Because they are probably raised on bland food, frozen boxed meals or take out junk. So when they eat something that is homemade, spiced & prepared properly their systems can't handle it, whether it's Middle Eastern or any other cuisine.
