Why do some people like Abercrombie and not Hollister, and vice versa?

I don't get it.

Both styles are pretty much the same, with Hollister being a little more casual. And, according to the stock exchange, Abercrombie and Fitch (ANF) owns and operates Hollister stores. The prices are pretty much the same, styles relatively the same...

Why the big fuss?

i prefer abercrombie because hollister is to sunshine and colors...abercrombie is a little hipster

Well Hollister is beach themed so some people might like A&F/abercrombie but not Hollister

While some people might not like A&F for their prices (Hollister is cheaper from $10-20)

like both some people only like one and on my opinion

I prefer Hollister because I think that there are more colors, but that's the only difference really!

I hate Hollister, well not the clothes but going in the stores

Everything is so squeezed together and the smell, i hate it and it's so dark you can't even see the clothes, they have ok clothes but it just as Hollister written on it, so different styles or anything

Abercrombie has cool styles and it's different

Although I will buy something Abercrombie once in a blue moon, I really don't care for either brand.  Mostly because it all looks the same and everyone wears it.  Not to mention the fact that I practically get a headache every time I go in there from the already-bad-smelling perfume overkill/way too loud music/dim lighting.  What's the point??!!

I like hollister its less expensive then abercrombie. Hollister T's are like $20, abercrombie T's go for $30-40.  Jeans at Abercrombie are usually $50 dollars and up , Jeans at Hollister range from $29.50 - 49.50. I like Hollisters perfume better too.
