  1. Do you mean someone around here?  I honestly can say I have not assumed any R&S user is the anti-christ, although the spirit is alive and well here.

The reason some of us will analyze a world leader or a potential world leader in this fashion is because of what we believe about end-times prophecy.

Juvenile would be to just say it for no reason.

  2. It's a tactic of the ego to project darkness onto others instead of looking at ourselves.

  3. That is something like pin the tail on the donkey.

  4. I usually go to Italian restaurants and point at my plate and proclaim it the anti-pasta!

  5. I just wonder if this person will have a big sign flashing letting people know they are the anti-Christ or something.

  6. Anti Christ means someone , not beleiving in Jesus, who came a died for our sins...... Only thing Jesus did was come a preach peace, and love, and gave us, hope, and miracles.....    Peace is what we need in the world, but how can we acheive this, when the world is so overwhelm in differences

  7. same reason people point and say "WITCH"

    fear, ignorance, hatred

  8. My thoughts?

I consider them to be a wee bit misguided.

We are instructed to be watching and waiting for the LORD, walking in obedience, and enduring even to the end...these, for whatever reason, are paying undue and unnecessary attention to the adversary instead.

Why look for Satan, and his coming? We are not his, we are the LORD'S people.

Yes, it is mentioned in scripture, and therefore we pay attention to it, BUT- going overboard (an emphasis which is not seemly) on any particular thing is not good. It leaves one unbalanced theologically.

    Hmmmmm

    Nuff typed!!!

  10. I suppose it sounds more authoritative than "I don't like that person," which is what it boils down to.

  11. Its just their way of making their fantasy seem more real.

  12. they were taught to think that way...so it is not their fault....and so the sins of the father are repeated to the children, its a vicious cycle that only breeds anger, racism and violence.

  13. Because most people (and most Christians) totally ignore how the Bible actually uses the Greek word antichristos (antichrist).

The word appears five times, not in Revelation, but only in the books of 1st John and 2nd John. Here is a list of all occurrences of the word Antichrist in the Bible: 1 John 2:18-22. 1 John 4:1-3. 2 John 7.

If you read those texts you will see for yourself that the Bible says the following:

    1. There are MANY antichrists.

    2. Antichrists had already started appearing when the writer was writing the books.

    3. Antichrists are defined at those who left the original Christian congregation.

    4. Antichrists contradict what the Bible actually says, which is what makes them Antichrists.

    5. Antichrists, although contradicting scripture, still profess belief in Christ.

As a result of contradicting what the Bible actually says, they are called liars, deceivers, and false prophets.

These facts, however, create a dilemma for modern Christians.

If a professed Christian today claims there is only ONE antichrist; or claims that the antichrist doesn't appear until the "end times", or claims that the antichrist is political; or otherwise misrepresents how the Bible uses the word antichrist, then that person is contradicting what the Bible actually says, correct?

Therefore, if the person is contradicting what the Bible actually says about antichrists, then doesn't that demonstrate that the person making the false claim, is himself or herself an antichrist?

  14. They're just desperate to receive validation and prove that Jesus is coming soon.

They've been doing that since 35 CE.

  15. its foolish and degrading..

  16. i have the same opinion about those people as i do for people who come here to point out Christians and make absurd claims about what Christians are and what we believe...immature is one word for it along with some other...

  17. People like to find an individual and consider them to be very important.  The fact that the Book of Revelation mentions the Antichrist gives them a religious sanction on which to hang an epithet of ultimate evil on an identifiable person, like a scapegoat.  However, just as Messiah is a possible career opening for a person who happens to be in the right place and time, which is what may have happened with Jesus, a similar opportunity may exist for certain people in today's world to adopt the mantle of the Antichrist.  For instance, if their name written in Greek letters added up to 666, that would give them a head start.

  18. Stupidity.  Melodrama.  Ego.  Wishful thinking.  Narcissism.  The egocentric notion that anyone who does not share ones values MUST be evil, and that someone who is popular and does not share ones values MUST be Satanically backed or otherwise "cheating".

And yes, a certain degree of immaturity.

  19. It is immature however most of what goes on here is immature, the internet has made people less intelligent and less mature and this forum is a perfect example of that.  The immature "what should I do", "am I going to h**l" and " can God make something so hot He can't touch it" are all prime examples of the lack of intelligence and maturity here.

If you look the other way when these silly immature and stupid questions are asked you really can't complain when an immature person accuses your political candidate of being the anti-Christ.

  20. Yes,it is immature. They don't have legitimate proof that someone is the anti-Christ if there is such a thing

I heard that Barack Obama is the new anti-Christ.I mean that's just so stupid. Later,I heard that McCain is the anti-Christ.

    These people are just fools

  21. I've had thoughts myself of certain people...wondering if they could be the Antichrist.  I believe it's wise to be in tune with current events as they relate to Bible prophecy of the "end-times".  We, as Christians, need to be alert and aware of these signs.

Sure some finger-pointing is very immature.  But not always...depends on the manner of course.

However, I think it will still be quite some time before anyone knows for sure who the Antichrist will be (or is).  And unfortunately, for many, it will be too late before they realize they have been completely deceived by his charisma and other seemingly wonderful qualities.

Remember, everyone, that Jesus Christ is the only Messiah, the Savior of the world.  No one comes to God except through Him.  He is the only way, the only truth and the only life!

  22. I think your right, it is somewhat immature.  It is really foolish to suppose that any one of us is going to have a revelation about the anti-Christ and point them out.  I suppose if you point your finger at everyone eventually you will be right:)  People who focus on these things are usually forgetting about what they are supposed to be doing as Christians.  For some people they would rather think then do what is right.
