I dressed up so Hollywood today, with my skin tight black shorts/pin stripe polo long sleeve shirt but pulled up, jewelry, D&G sandals, men's tote bag from god knows where, some other high end designer, designer shades, cellphone, etc, I looked like a magazine cardboard cutout, and I did it on purpose to just go to the mall, walk around, and just indulge in the fakeness.

It was great! I dont get to do that everyday.

I got alot of stares but,

some people, looked at me soooooo condescendingly, looked down at me like "what is this person DOING!" or

"Psh, you are such a dork."

Why do some people do that?

Okay, so I'm sure I looked like a total poser, but,

doesn't all of Hollywood look like that too?

Why do people have a problem with normal people looking like hollywood celebrities?

We're allowed to have fun too, no?

Why all the condescending attitudes toward anyone thats trying to emulate anything hollywood?

  1. cause the world's in a mess and your on here worrying bout dressing like a plonker.

  2. Because only dorks would buy that stuff and put it on in the first place.

  3. People will always scoff at things and styles that they don't understand, and apparently, don't have the good manners to mind their own business....sounds like a great outfit, by the way ...it isn't even a matter of Hollywoood, but if you were living there, you probably wouldn't even be noticed, but you 'd fit right in...its the place and timing

  4. I have a negative view on Hollywood.

I view it as a cesspool of corruption, a degradation of standards, and overall an shallow place.

I know a person who went to Hollywood as a strict Catholic that would never have s*x before marriage and always using what her parents taught her. One year in the place changed her.

She had heavy dosing sessions with weed and she started to sleep with every person she went out on a date with. She tossed aside all of her moral values and did whatever felt good.

She wasn't the same person I knew.

At the end of the day, she didn't turn out well. However, that's not the point. Just a lesson of the Hollywood atmosphere.

I also don't have a good view on people trying to emulate celebrities. I already have our own problems, so I don't need to focus on someone else's.

I try to be original in my dress. Besides, celebrities aren't really the best role models... Just look at all of the teenage girls with eating disorders.
