I don't need to write down facts...why don't you do some research and reading? I have put in many many hours.

I know more then my pedi about this subject. He didn't even know the ingredients nor the company that he uses for the vaccines!

  1. Yeah, I've noticed. They push vaccinations, but they really don't know why and don't seem to be informed about possible side effects. Every doctor I've seen being interviewed... when asked why we should use vaccinations they just say "because it's the right thing to do" but it seems like they don't exactly know...

  2. Most pediatricians know about vaccines, sometimes it is the pharmacists who know a little more about ingredients and the makers.

I do read information about vaccinations and I choose to have my children vaccinated. The only vaccination I turned away was the Polio drink that had the live polio virus in it that they no longer give.

Most other vaccinations the benefits outweigh the risks.

If you are coming on here ranting about people and pediatritians not knowing the "truth" about vaccines and being ignorant then yes you do need to back up your rant with facts because if you are stating that everyone besides you is naiive then prove it.

We are seeing an increase in childhood illnesses that we had thought we had gotten rid of because of parents not vaccinating their children.

Just keep your unvaccinated kids away from mine.

EDIT: Wow you are a know it all. To respond to keeping your unvaccinated children away from mine. What if my children aren't old enough to have had all of their vaccinations to be fully protected? Shows how smart you are.

Just because someone may not agree with everything you are saying does not make them not able to answer your questions.

I have done research on the mercury levels in vaccines, and also the debate on whether or not certain vaccines cause Autism there just isn't enough solid findings to make me not want to vaccinate my children.

Your whole idea of a question is so transparent as a rant. You don't care what anyone else has to say about this subject unless it is in agreeance with you.

  3. perhaps because their children DID suffer from polio, and the only way to protect his siblings from the iron lung was to have them immunized.  My mother went door to door collecting funds to find a cure for this disease - in those days called the March of Dimes.  She made sure all of us had those polio sugar cubes - and every other immunization that would prevent her kids from suffering the consequences of rampant diseases.

I made sure both of my kids were immunized, and I wonder if we are a little too into vaccinations, but there is a middle road.  There is also choice.  Thank goodness we live in America and we have this choice.

  4. There are more compelling reasons for the current rash of children's issues that can not be so easily targetted at vaccines.

One of the reasons for our greater problems with allergies and some other issues is that our world has become too "clean."  In nations with less compulsion about hygiene, there is no autism - however they administer vaccines at the same rate as our industrial nations.

Besides many chemicals that you noted not being in the vaccines anymore, another set of issues is that fewer and fewer companies are providing funding for vaccines.

One of my friends who has a son with autism does not blame the vaccines but made a very reasonable point that people are waiting longer and longer to have children and often resorting to chemicals means to have children.  She feels that since cells degenerate as we all get older, so do our reproductive organs.  In addition to increase pollution, this may be a more reasonable focus for what is happening to our children.

  5. How do you mean? I trust our pediatrician.

  6. Great question...Simple answer...brainwashed, programmed and uneducated.

The only ppl giving me a thumbs down are totally uneducated on vaccinating. I am not saying not to vaccinate, I have two children that have been fully vaccinated however I had to stop vaccination with my three year old. It is my job, my duty to him to be the advocate. All I am saying is to do the research and then make an educated decision, don't just go by what the dr. "orders". It just is not necessary to inject these young children with so many injections. Nor with what they are putting in the vaccines, why not green our vaccines? Why not wait till they are eight or so, so that the body has had an opportunity to develop more natural immunity? Don't just file in line, it is okay to step out of your comfort zone and ask questions. What harm is there in asking a question?

  7. I think vaccines are an unholy abomination, that they're spitting in the face of God. I read "The Vaccine Book" by Dr Sears and learned a LOT about how vaccines are made. He goes through each vaccine, even the various brands of different vaccines, and tells you how they're made and what they contain. I was HORRIFIED to learn how some of this disgusting sludge are manufactured.  It was a very disturbing and enlightening read.

  8. Misleading stories about the MMR shot and autism are constantly being circulated through Web sites, the media, and word of mouth. This is old. Seriously, scientific studies investigating these claims have found no connection between autism and the vaccine.

Your research is all media and panic. Why risk your child's life by not vaccinating them? If you don't, you are being irresponsible and putting your child's life at risk. You are not a doctor, you just accidentally wound up with bad advice from one doctor. Pick another.

  9. Because it's not a "truth" it's your opinion. Not everyone vaccinates simply because their pediatrician wants them to. Some of us have done our own research and have decided ourselves that the risk of not getting them outweighs the risk of getting them.

all my children have been vaccinated and have never had any issues what so ever.

  10. many people blindly trust their doctors, believing they have their best interest at heart. that isn't always the case. many doctors receive kickbacks to peddle pharmaceutical companies wares. most people don't realize that their children receive about 40 doses. back in the 80's we received 10.there is some nasty stuff in those vaccinations. 20 years ago we didn't have drastic problems with autism, learning disorders. ADD, etc. it took my 4 month old son having a reaction to the prevnar shot to open my eyes. it is complete ignorance when someone worries about their vaccinated child around an un-vaxed child. there is a bigger chance of the un-vaxed child of catching something from a child who just got vaxed. they sometimes shed the live virus making it possible for someone else to catch the disease. what people fail to realize is that just because you got the vaccination, it doesn't guarantee you wont catch that particular virus. people with healthy immune systems don't need to rely on so many vaccinations. i am more afraid of the reactions to the vaccinations than i am of the illnesses themselves. i know i am doing whats best for my children.

  11. I'm glad somebody researches. Because of doctors I have a permanent hearing loss, because of doctors I know longer have a grandma, and because of doctors I have to take my health into my own hands. Everybody has their opinions; honestly I think that eastern medicine is much better than western medicine; all doctors care about is money.

  12. My question is, why are people so ignorant not to vaccinate their children and risk their child contracting a fatal disease?

  13. Yes, please support your opinion with some facts.

Edit: I have read thank you!

If your going to preach to people then just be ready to post your reasonings! Besides I don't have to do any research or reading because I'm not the one causing a ruckus and being rude to people.

  14. Why dont some people see the truth, that we should mind our own business, and let parents decide whats right for their child, without judging them?

  15. Rant rant rant, you have your beliefs, many others believe they are doing the right thing getting their kids immunised to stop disease and kids dying..........
